Area deemed to be included in Trentham Military Camp for Sanitary Purposes.
WHEREAS by regulations dated the 18th day of December, 1916, and published in the Gazette of the 10th day of January, 1917, made under the War Regulations Act, 1914, the Minister of Defence is empowered, by notice published in the Gazette, to declare that any land defined in such notice and being within one mile of a camp of military training shall, for the purposes of the said regulations, but not otherwise, be deemed to be included in and to form part of that camp, it is hereby declared that the area set out in the Schedule hereto, being within one mile of the Trentham Military Camp, shall be deemed, as from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, to be included in and to form part of that camp for the purposes of the said regulations.
SCHEDULE.
ALL the area surrounding Trentham Camp contained within the following lines:—
A line drawn from Heretaunga Railway-station Shelter-shed at right angles to the railway-line in a direction approximately south-east to a point one mile distant from the shelter-shed.
A line thence parallel to the railway-line and one mile distant therefrom running approximately in a north-easterly direction till it meets with a line drawn at right angles to the railway-line from a point at the boundary between the racecourse grounds and the veterinary laboratory grounds. The latter line forms the north-eastern boundary of the area as far as the north-western side of the railway-line. From the boundary between the racecourse and the veterinary laboratory grounds the line follows the railway-line in a direction approximately south-west to a point formed by the south-western boundary of the premises shown in Trentham Manoeuvre Map as owned by Mr. Telford.
A line thence running in a direction approximately north-west and coinciding with the public road till it meets the main Upper Hutt Road.
A line thence following the main Upper Hutt Road in a direction approximately south-west till it meets the branch road from the main road to Heretaunga Station.
A line thence following the branch road to Heretaunga Station Shelter-shed, the point of commencement.

Area deemed to be included in Featherston Military Camp for Sanitary Purposes.
WHEREAS by regulations dated the 18th day of December, 1916, and published in the Gazette of the 10th day of January, 1917, made under the War Regulations Act, 1914, the Minister of Defence is empowered, by notice published in the Gazette, to declare that any land defined in such notice and being within one mile of a camp of military training shall, for the purpose of the said regulations, but not otherwise, be deemed to be included in and to form part of that camp, it is hereby declared that the area set out in the Schedule hereto, being within one mile of the Featherston Military Camp, shall be deemed, as from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, to be included in and to form part of that camp for the purposes of the said regulations.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area surrounding Featherston Camp bounded by the following lines:—
Starting from a point on the Featherston-Greytown Road situated one mile westward from the junction of that road with the Featherston South Road; thence in a direction due north for a distance of one mile; thence in a direction due east to where the line meets the western bank of the Tauherenikau River; thence following southwards along the Tauherenikau River bank for a distance of one mile and a half; thence due westwards to a point due south of the point of commencement; thence due north to the point of commencement on the Featherston-Greytown Road.

WHEREAS by regulations dated the 18th day of December, 1916, and published in the Gazette of the 10th day of January, 1917, made under the War Regulations Act, 1914, the Minister of Defence is empowered, by notice published in the Gazette, to declare that any land defined in such notice and being within one mile of a camp of military training shall, for the purposes of the said regulations, but not otherwise, be deemed to be included in and to form part of that camp, it is hereby declared that the area set out in the Schedule hereto, being within one mile of the Tauherenikau Military Camp, shall be deemed, as from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, to be included in and to form part of that camp for the purposes of the said regulations.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area surrounding Tauherenikau Military Camp enclosed by the following lines:—
Commencing from a point at the eastern end of the Tauherenikau Bridge, on the Featherston-Greytown Road; thence northwards following the eastern bank of the Tauherenikau River for a distance of one mile; thence by a line running due eastwards to the point where it meets the boundary between the properties shown on the Featherston Manoeuvre Map as owned by Messrs. Jack and Talbot; thence by a line running due south to the Morrison’s Bush Road; thence by a line running in a south-westerly direction to the junction between the No. 1 Road and Grass Road, as shown on the Featherston Manoeuvre Map; thence by a line running in a north-westerly direction to the point of commencement at the Tauherenikau River Bridge.

Notifying Land in the Auckland Land District subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1908.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and its amendments, I hereby notify that the undermentioned Crown land, being part of the land known as the Opouriao Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Acts, is subject to the said Acts as from 10th March, 1896.
SCHEDULE.
OPOURIAO SETTLEMENT (ADDITIONAL).
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 50 acres, more or less, being Section 32, Parish of Waimana. Bounded towards the north-east by Section 1, Parish of Waimana, 2500 links; thence towards the east by Sections 1 and 2 of the aforesaid parish, 1992 links; thence towards the south-west by Section 2, aforesaid parish, across a public road, and by Section 13, aforesaid parish, 2500 links; thence towards the north-west by aforesaid Section 13, across a public road, and by Sections 1a and part of 1 of aforesaid parish, 1992 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on plan marked L. and S. 18937, Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 50 acres, more or less, being Section 104, Parish of Waimana. Bounded towards the north by Section 9, Parish of Waimana, 420 links; on east by part of Section 10, aforesaid parish, 1994·7 links; towards the south-east by part of Sections 10 and 11, aforesaid parish, 2371·1 links; towards the south-west by Sections 11 and 10, aforesaid parish, 2007 links; and towards the north-west by Section 10 aforesaid, 2414·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on plan marked L. and S. 18937, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

IT is notified for public information that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to revoke the appointment (as set out in the New Zealand Gazette of 12th November, 1914) of certain days as public holidays to be kept by the Customs, and in lieu thereof to appoint each of the days specified below to be kept annually as a public holiday by the Customs at the particular port or ports indicated hereunder,
