THE Public Service Commissioner has made the following appointments in the Public Service:—
WILLIAM BLACK, of Whirinaki;
(Miss) JOANNA HILL, of Whakawhitira;
HARRY WALL, of Te Horo; and
WILLIAM EDWARD WEST, of Waitahanui,
to be Registrars of Births and Deaths of Maoris as from the 1st February, 1917, the 1st January, 1917, the 26th February, 1917, and the 19th February, 1917, respectively.

NEW ZEALAND MEDICAL CORPS.
The undermentioned are taken on the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force from Royal Army Medical Corps:—

With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 29, of 15th February, 1917, Appointments, Promotions, and Transfers of Officers serving with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, relative to Lieutenant Percy Chisholm, New Zealand Medical Corps, for the words “23rd November, 1916,” read “16th December, 1916.”

Captain E. H. Rawson, transferred to Royal Field Artillery, is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Dated 6th December, 1916.
