Also all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 10 perches, more or less, being Section 84, Blocks VII and VIII, Heretaunga Survey District. Bounded towards the south-west by a public road, 140 links; towards the north by the said road, 530 links; and towards the south-east by Tutaekuri River.

Also all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 59 acres, more or less, being Section 85, Blocks VII and VIII, Heretaunga Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by a public road, 6919 links; towards the south-east by the said road, 1549·5 links; and towards the south generally by Tutaekuri River bed.

Also all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 16 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Section 86, Blocks VII and VIII, Heretaunga Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by a public road, 1282·8 links; towards the north-east by the said road, 1692·6 links; towards the south-east by Meeanee Suburban Section 76, 802·8 links; and towards the south by Tutaekuri River bed.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 53438/74, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

For improvement and protection of the Tutaekuri River.

Also all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 111 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section 307, Block III, Clive Survey District. Bounded towards the south-east generally by a public road, 11848·5 links; towards the north-west by the Tukituki River and by right lines defining the limit of accretion, 8934·7 links.

Also all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Section 308, Block III, Clive Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 5496·4 links; and towards the south-west by Tukituki River bed.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 53438/75, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

For improvement and protection of the Tukituki River.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 33 perches, more or less, being Section 16, Block IX, Hautapu Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section 14, 353·2 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 359·1 links; and towards the south-west and north-west by Section 13, 366·1 links and 74·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/5/43, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. For gravel purposes.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 38 perches, more or less, being Section 13A, Block VII, Mawhera-nui Survey District. Bounded towards the north by cemetery reserve, Section 13, 500 links, and by Section 2749, 41·9 links; towards the west by cemetery reserve, Section 13, 400 links; towards the east by Section 2749, 643·6 links; towards the south by the Ahaura Road, 907 links; and towards the north-west by Section 2749, 401·9 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 2/158, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For an addition to a public cemetery.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by estimation 34,500 acres, more or less, being reserve numbered 4003, situate in Cook and Cass Survey Districts, and bounded westward by Tasman Park Recreation Reserve numbered 2756, as described in Gazette of the 2nd June, 1887, page 715; north-westward by the summit of the Southern Alps; north-eastward, eastward, and south-eastward by the summit of the Liebig Range to the eastern boundary of Reserve 2756. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 40444, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. As an addition to a public recreation-ground.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this tenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Auckland, Wellington, Marlborough, and Canterbury Land Districts.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Auckland, Wellington, Marlborough, and Canterbury Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, being Section 10, Block XVI, Tutamoe Survey District, containing by admeasurement 21 acres 1 rood 19·5 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by the Te Karaka Block and the abutment of a public road, 1532·1 and 78·4 links respectively; towards the south-east and south-west by the Kairara Kauri-gum Reserve, 2090, 848·6, and 300·7 links; and towards the north-west by Crown land, 1276·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 5256/15, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan No. 17038.) For quarry purposes.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 15 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section 32, Suburbs of Ohakune. Bounded towards the north generally by the Ohakune–Raetihi Railway, 716·5, 354·5, 739·8, 624·9, and 100·8 links; towards the south-east by Section 31, 961 links; towards the south-west generally by Raupo Road and its abutment, 903·3 links and 100 links, and by Section 2, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District, 1501·9 links; and towards the north-west by Section 7, Block VIII aforesaid, 271·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/860, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. For an agricultural and pastoral show-ground.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section 15 (originally part of Section 6, Small Grazing-run 71), Block II, Orieri Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by part of Section 6, Small Grazing-run 71, 421·2 links; towards the north-east by part of Section 6, Small Grazing-run 71, 236·5 links; towards the south-east generally by a public road along the shore of Te Matau-a-Maui Bay, 150, 160·3, and 150 links; and towards the south-west by part Section 6, Small Grazing-run 71, 287·8 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/111, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. For a site for a public school.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods, more or less, being Reserve 3993, situated in Block XIX, Lowry Peaks Survey District, commencing at the north-west corner of Plantation Reserve 3177, and bounded as follows: Towards the east by Reserve 3177 aforesaid, 469·8 links, and by Section 1, Block XIX, Lowry Peaks Survey District, 176·6 links; towards the south by the said Section 1, 208 links; towards the west by Crown land, 713·4 links; and towards the north-east by a public road, 163·5 links and 88·2 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/155, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For gravel purposes.
