Fixing the Maximum Price of Milk.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twelfth day of March, 1917.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council made under section two of the Regulation of Trade and Commerce Act, 1914, dated the eighteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and published in the Gazette of the same date, His Excellency the Governor did fix and determine the maximum price of milk within the district defined by the said Order in Council: And whereas it is desirable to revoke the said Order in Council and to make other provision in lieu thereof:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred on him by section two of the Regulation of Trade and Commerce Act, 1914, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, doth hereby revoke the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council of the eighteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and in lieu thereof doth hereby fix and determine the maximum price of milk in New Zealand in accordance with the provisions of the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

  1. The maximum wholesale price of milk sold for retail distribution within the district to which this Order in Council relates shall be one shilling and one halfpenny per gallon when sold and delivered on the usual trade terms as established on the 18th day of January, 1917.

  2. In the case of milk sold for retail distribution within the district to which this Order in Council relates, otherwise than on the usual trade
