AT an extraordinary general meeting of the REDCLIFF
DIP COMPANY (LIMITED) held at Redcliff on 26th
January, and at a subsequent meeting held on 2nd February,
the following resolution was submitted, and confirmed, viz.:--
That the company be wound up voluntarily under the
provisions of the Companies Act, 1908; and that THOS,
HAMILTON, of Waihao Downs, be appointed Liquidator for
the purpose of such winding-up.

TE RAPA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION PASSED AT DULY CONSTITUTED MEETING HELD
AT THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK, HAMILTON, ON THE 22ND
DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1917, AT 8 P.M.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Te Rapa Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows :-

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of eight hundred pounds, authorized to be raised
by the Te Rapa Drainage Board, under the Local Bodies'
Loans Act, 1913, for improving of existing drains and making
new ones, the said Te Rapa Drainage Board hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one-farthing in the pound on lands
classified "A," three-sixteenths of a penny in the pound on
lands classified "B," and one-eighth of a penny in the pound
on lands classified "C," upon the rateable value of all rate-
able property of the Te Rapa Drainage Board's Number
One, Number Two, and Number Four Special-rating Areas,
comprising all the lands in those special-rating areas; and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the
first day of April and October in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and
one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

UAPOTO DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Uapoto Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:---

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of £600, authorized to be raised by the Uapoto
Drainage Board, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
for making payment of the cost of piping the outlet tunnel
and constructing new drains, the said Uapoto Drainage
Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the
pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of
the Uapoto Drainage Board, comprising the whole of the
Uapoto Drainage District; and that such special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and
the 1st day of August in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of 36 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution
passed by the Uapoto Drainage Board at a meeting held on
18th January, 1917.

MOA ROAD BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Moa Road Board hereby resolves as follows:--

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of £445, authorized to be raised by consent

of the ratepayers interested, under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of forming and remetalling Mangaotea Road,
the said Moa Road Board hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one penny and one-third of a penny in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Manga-
otea No. 2 Special-rating Area, comprising part Section 26
(containing 30 acres), part Section 27 (containing 44 acres
2 roods), part Section 28 (containing 69 acres 2 roods 11 per-
ches), part Section 32 (containing 73 acres), Sections 33, 34,
35, Block V, Huiroa Survey District; and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan
is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy
of an extract from the minute-books of the Road Board,
and that the resolution was passed at a meeting of the Moa
Road Board held at Inglewood on Saturday, the 17th day of
February, 1917.

MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

EXTRACT FROM THE MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS AT A SPECIAL
MEETING HELD ON THE 2ND DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1917, AT
7.30 P.M.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by
the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and of all other Acts
and powers in that behalf enabling, the Masterton Borough
Council resolves as follows:---

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of
thirty-two thousand pounds (£32,000), authorized to be raised
by the said Masterton Borough Council, under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of extending the existing
drainage system of the borough to such roads and streets
within the borough as are not now served by the existing
drainage system, the said Masterton Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of one penny in the pound
sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Masterton;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable
yearly on the 30th day of September during the currency
of such loan, being a period of thirty-six (36) years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Masterton Borough Council was
hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution
of the Masterton Borough Council in the presence of--

The above resolution was confirmed at a special meeting
of the Council held on Tuesday, 20th February, 1917, at
7.30 p.m.
