Notice respecting Proposed Borough of Featherston.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 15th February, 1917.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, it is hereby notified that a petition, in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fifth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, being the Featherston Town District, has been presented to His Excellency the Governor, praying that the said area may be constituted a borough under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed constitution within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
PROPOSED BOROUGH OF FEATHERSTON.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded towards the north-west generally, commencing at the north-western corner of Section 81, Featherston Town District; thence by a right line to the south-eastern corner of Section 86, Featherston Town District, across Watt, Waterfield, Johnston, Lyon, and Hickson Streets, across Brown Street, and by a public road to the south-eastern corner of Section 285, Featherston; towards the south generally by Sections 289 and 288, across a street, and by Sections 287 and 286 to Brown Street; thence by the south-east side of that street to a point in line with the north-east boundary of Section 212, across Brown Street, by Section 212 to Lyon Street, across that street and by the Otaiura Stream to the northern boundary of Section 338, and by the north-eastern boundary of that section to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 464, across a public road, and by Sections 464 and 516 to the south-west boundary of Section 66, and by the south-west boundary and south-eastern boundary of that section to the north-western boundary of Section 81, the place of commencement.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of the Borough of Ashburton.

Wellington, 28th February, 1917.
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, it is hereby notified that a petition, in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, being part of the Town District of Hampstead, has been presented to His Excellency the Governor, praying that the said area may be excluded from the said town district and included in the Borough of Ashburton. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF ASHBURTON.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, being part of the Hampstead Town District. Bounded towards the north-west by the Main Trunk Railway reserve from the north-eastern boundary of the Borough of Ashburton to Cemetery Road; towards the north-east by the said Cemetery Road to Bridge Road; towards the south-east by the said Bridge Road to the Borough of Ashburton; and thence towards the south-west by that borough to the railway reserve aforesaid, the place of commencement.

Notice respecting Proposed Town District, Patutahi, County of Cook.

Wellington, 23rd February, 1917.
IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor, under the Town Boards Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be constituted a town district under the said Act, by name the Town District of Patutahi. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the constitution of the said town district which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF PROPOSED TOWN DISTRICT OF PATUTAHI.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the right bank of the Whakahu Stream, being the north-eastern corner of Section 67, Block IV, Patutahi Survey District; thence along the right bank of that stream to and along the right bank of the Waipaoa River to a point in line with the eastern side of the road forming the western boundaries of Sections 78, 77, 35, and 34, Block I, Turanganui Survey District; thence to and along the eastern side of that road to the Gisborne-Wairoa Road, along the northern side of that road to the south-eastern corner of Section 48, Block IV, Patutahi Survey District; and thence along the western side of the road forming the eastern boundaries of Sections 48, 49, and 67, Block IV aforesaid, to the place of commencement.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block I, Rangaunu Survey District, for Road Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road in Block I, Rangaunu Survey District; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kaimaumau, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 41757, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

IT is hereby notified for public information that the Tuhikaramea Road Board has, by special order, declared the following plants to be noxious weeds within the meaning of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908, in the district under the jurisdiction of the Board :—
Gorse. Fennel.
Winged thistle. Viper’s bugloss.
Spiderwort. Foxglove.
Bathurst burr. Ox-eye daisy.
Broom.
