Result of Election of a Member of the Hawera Fire Board by Fire-insurance Companies.

THE following result of the election of a member of the Hawera Fire Board by fire-insurance companies has been reported to the Minister of Internal Affairs, and is notified in accordance with the rules made under the Fire Brigades Act, 1908.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 15 of the Land Act, 1908, I hereby authorize the laying-off of Pah Road, Margaret Road, and Gifford Street, in the Town of Papatoetoe Extension No. 17, Auckland Land District, of a width of not less than 66 ft. instead of 99 ft.

Notice as to Statutory Closing-day under the Shops and Offices Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, and in terms of notice in writing duly received by me from the Chairman of the conference of delegates of all the local authorities of the combined district of Invercargill, as constituted for the purposes of that Act, and comprising the Boroughs of Invercargill and South Invercargill, I, William Herbert Herries, Minister of Labour, do hereby appoint Wednesday to be the statutory closing-day for shops in the said combined district of Invercargill.
