Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section
374 of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and seventy-four
of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred
to as “the said Act”), and by section fourteen of the
Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter
alia
, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native
land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown
under the authority of the said Act the Governor may issue
a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in
the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf
of the Crown under the authority of the said Act:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority conferred upon me by section three hundred
and seventy-four of the said Act, and by section fourteen
of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set
out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.


SCHEDULE.

MANGATAINOKA J No. 4F No. 4 Block: Approximate area,
148 acres 3 roods 16 perches; Mangaone Survey District.

Waiotapu Prison to cease to be a Prison.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the Prisons Act, 1908, it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time by Proclamation declare that any prison shall no longer be a prison, and
upon the gazetting of such Proclamation, or from and after
any later date fixed therein, such prison shall cease to be
a prison:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me
by the said Act, and of every other power and authority
enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare
that from and after the gazetting of this Proclamation the
prison situated on the land described in the Schedule hereto,
known as the Waiotapu Prison, shall cease to be a prison.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in the
Paeroa Survey District, bounded towards the north-east by
Run No. 79 and Rotomahana-Parekarangi 5B, Onuku Block,
and Run No. 94 to the Rotorua-Galatea Road; thence
towards the south generally by that road to the western
boundary of the Rainbow Mountain Reserve; and thence
towards the west by the western boundary of the said Rainbow Mountain Reserve to Run No. 79 as aforesaid.

Paritutu Survey District, Waitara West Road District,
Taranaki County.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of
the owner of the land described in the First Schedule
hereto, and of the Waitara West Road Board, being the
local authority in whose district the said land is situated,
proclaim as a road the land in Paritutu Survey District
described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby,
with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the
road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not
required by reason of the road described in the First
Schedule hereto.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road:
5 acres 2 roods 9 perches.
Portion of Section 64.
Coloured on plan: Pink.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ROAD CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 5 acres 1 rood
39 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Section 64.
Coloured on plan: Green.

All situated in the Waitara West District, Block III,
Paritutu Survey District.

All in the Taranaki Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 41647,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and
thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
