CANTERBURY REGIMENT.
Major (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) G. C. Griffiths to be Lieutenant-Colonel, and is appointed to command 4th (Reserve) Battalion. Dated 15th September, 1917.
Major C. B. Brereton to be second in command, 4th (Reserve) Battalion. Dated 15th September, 1917.
Captain R. J. G. Palmer, having been absorbed in the Establishment of the Reserve Battalion, is removed from the New Zealand Roll. Dated 1st September, 1917.
Captain D. B. Green is transferred from N.Z. Dental Corps with rank of Lieutenant and seniority from 15th September, 1917. Dated 15th September, 1917.
Major N. F. Shepherd is transferred to Auckland Regiment. Dated 15th September, 1917.
2nd Lieutenant A. McKee, having been declared by a Medical Board to be unfit for general service within twelve months, is seconded under provisions of N.Z.E.F. Regulation 34. Dated 21st August, 1917.
Lieutenant S. G. Smith is seconded for duty as an Assistant Instructor at II Anzac Corps School. Dated 9th September, 1917.
Lieutenant L. B. Hutton to be Adjutant, Reserve Battalion, and is granted the acting rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 1st September, 1917.
Lieutenant P. W. Smith relinquishes the appointment of Lewis Gun Officer, 3rd Battalion, to be second in command of a company. Dated 1st September, 1917.

OTAGO REGIMENT.
Captain J. P. O’Sullivan is dismissed from His Majesty’s Service by sentence of a general court-martial held on 22nd August, 1917, and is accordingly struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force. Dated 22nd August, 1917.
Captain G. H. Ferguson is seconded for duty to New Zealand. Dated 13th September, 1917.
Lieutenant B. A. Rhodes, having been declared by a Medical Board to be unfit for general service within twelve months, is seconded under provisions of N.Z.E.F. Regulation 34. Dated 5th September, 1917.
Major W. G. Wray, M.C., to be second in command, 4th (Reserve) Battalion. Dated 15th September, 1917.
2nd Lieutenant A. D. Paisley to be Adjutant, 1st Battalion, and is granted the acting rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 19th August, 1917.

Lieutenant H. F. Arkwright, having been declared by a Medical Board to be fit for general service, ceases to be seconded under provisions of N.Z.E.F. Regulation 34. Dated 22nd August, 1917.
Captain P. Oldham is appointed to Command No. 1 N.Z. (Divisional) Employment Company, vice Captain R. M. Quinn, N.Z.A.S.C., sick, and retains the appointment of Officer Commanding N.Z. Divisional Reinforcement Camps, and remains seconded. Dated 15th September, 1917.
Major J. A. Cameron to be second in command, 4th (Reserve) Battalion. Dated 15th September, 1917.

Major J. Pow, D.S.O., is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel whilst temporarily commanding a battalion. Dated 8th September, 1917.
Captain E. A. Harding, M.C., is granted the temporary rank of Major. Dated 5th August, 1917.
Lieutenant N. L. Macky, M.C., is granted the temporary rank of Captain, vice Captain E. H. Buckeridge, sick, to date 5th August, 1917, and relinquishes the temporary rank, sick. Dated 10th September, 1917.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) L. A. J. Emery relinquishes the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 4th September, 1917.
Captain N. J. Reed is sentenced by general court-martial held on 15th August, 1917, to take rank and precedence in the N.Z.E.F. as if his appointment to the rank of Captain bore date 15th August, 1917.

NEW ZEALAND MAORI (PIONEER) BATTALION.
The undermentioned Lieutenants to be Captains:—

Lieutenant H. Leaf is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 14th September, 1917.

NEW ZEALAND MACHINE-GUN CORPS.
The undermentioned Lieutenants are granted the temporary rank of Captain:—

NEW ZEALAND ARMY SERVICE CORPS.
Captain R. M. Quinn, having been declared by a Medical Board to be unfit for general service within twelve months, relinquishes command of No. 1 N.Z. (Divisional) Employment Company, but remains seconded under provisions of N.Z.E.F. Regulation 34. Dated 5th September, 1917.
Lieutenant P. H. Harper to be Captain. Dated 27th August, 1917.

NEW ZEALAND MEDICAL CORPS.
The designation of the D.D.M.S., N.Z.E.F., will in future be D.M.S., N.Z.E.F.
Major A. V. Short, M.C., M.B., relinquishes the appointment of D.A.D.M.S., N.Z. Division. Dated 13th September, 1917.
Major R. H. Walton, M.D., F.R.C.S., to be D.A.D.M.S., N.Z. Division. Dated 13th September, 1917.

NEW ZEALAND DENTAL CORPS.
Captain C. E. Wyett is dismissed from His Majesty’s Service by sentence of a court-martial held on 21st August, 1917, and is accordingly struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force. Dated 22nd August, 1917.
Captain D. B. Green is removed from the N.Z. Roll and transferred at his own request to Canterbury Regiment, with rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 15th September, 1917. Dated 15th September, 1917.

NEW ZEALAND ARMY PAY CORPS.
Captain F. Prideaux to be Auditor, N.Z.E.F., and is granted the temporary rank of Major and seconded whilst so employed. Dated 15th September, 1917.

2nd Lieutenant Hassell George de Forges Garland, M.C., 1st (Mounted) Rifles (Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry), is appointed Aide-de-Camp (temporarily) to His Excellency the Right Honourable the Earl of Liverpool, P.C., G.C.M.G., M.V.O., Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief, to date from 1st December, 1917.
