Extending Time for holding General Election of Trustees of the Buckley Drainage District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this tenth day of December, 1917.

Present :

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section ten of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, it is provided that on the first Monday in the month of November in the year following the year in which the first trustees for any district are elected, and on the same day in each succeeding third year thereafter, the ratepayers of the district shall elect the required number of persons to be members of the Board of Trustees of such district: And whereas it is expedient to extend the time for holding the triennial election in the Buckley Drainage District:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section two hundred and seventeen of the Counties Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend the time for holding the general election of members of the Board of Trustees of the Buckley Drainage District; and doth hereby order and declare that in the aforesaid drainage district the said general election shall be held and take place on Wednesday, the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienations in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this tenth day of December, 1917.

Present :

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of six months the Order in Council made the eighteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and gazetted the twenty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, prohibiting all alienations of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienations in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this tenth day of December, 1917.

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of six months the Order in Council dated the twentieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen,

and gazetted the twenty-third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, but only in so far as it affects the land specified in the Schedule hereto, prohibiting all alienations of such land other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that land in the Auckland Land District, being those parts of Okataina Blocks Nos. 3, 5, 6B, 7, and 8, surrounding Lake Okataina, of an approximate average width of thirty chains from the edge of the lake to the tops of the ridges surrounding the lake, such area to be defined by survey, and being approximately shown in pink on the plan lodged with the Waiariki District Maori Land Board at Rotorua.

Declaring Portion of Road in Block XV, Pigeon Bay Survey District, to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this tenth day of December, 1917.

Present :

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road declared a Government road: 26·4 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Section 2327, Block XV, Pigeon Bay Survey District (Canterbury R.D.).

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43381 (sheet 1), deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Portion of Hoihenga Road, in the Waimarino County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this tenth day of December, 1917.

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Waimarino County, known as the Hoihenga Road, commencing at the southern end of and including the bridge over the Manganui-a-te-ao River, Block X, Manganui Survey District, thence proceeding generally in a northerly direction along the boundaries of Sections 16 and 15, and through Section 13, Block X aforesaid, to north-eastern boundary of said Section 13; being a distance of 1 mile 20 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43156, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
