Vesting Exclusive Care and Control and Management of
Portion of “Kawau Cut” Drain in the Palmerston North
Borough Council.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Palmerston North Borough Council has
made application for the issue of a Proclamation
under section sixty-four of the Land Drainage Act, 1908,
vesting the control of a certain portion of the drain known
as the “Kawau Cut” in the Council:
And whereas it is expedient to issue the Proclamation as
requested:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority
vested in me by section sixty-four of the Land Drainage Act,
1908, do hereby proclaim and direct that that portion of the
drain known as the “Kawau Cut” within the boundaries
of the Borough of Palmerston North shall from and after the
first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and seven-
teen, be under the exclusive care, control, and management
of the Palmerston North Borough Council.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-
Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of
New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued
under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the
Government House at Wellington, this tenth day
of December, in the year of our Lord one thou-
sand nine hundred and seventeen.

Land proclaimed as a Road in Block VI, Hunua Survey
District, Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the
consents of the licensees and mortgagees of the land de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto, and of the Kaitieke County
Council, being the local authority in whose district the
said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land described
in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a
road:—

1 0 6·2, portion of Section 11.
2 1 13 " Section 13.
Situated in Block VI, Hunua Survey District.
In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S.
16/534, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands
and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
