"That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily; and
"That FRED TEMPEST EYRE, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up."

RESOLUTION.

THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Timaru Trotting Club at a meeting held on the 27th day of July, 1917, at 7.55 p.m., at the Arcade Cafe, with a recommendation by the Chairman of the Club, Mr. John Hole, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. John Hole, the Chairman of the Club and of the Meeting, moved, "That it be and hereby is resolved that such regulations be adopted, and that the Chairman be authorized to sign the same in authorization thereof."
The motion was seconded by C. East, and carried.
The following are the regulations above referred to:—
TIMARU TROTTING CLUB.
REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)
In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Timaru Trotting Club, a trotting club within the meaning of the said Act, and hereinafter referred to as "the said club," doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the racecourse reserve situate at Washdyke, and set apart for racing purposes, and known as the Timaru Racecourse, while the same is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

  1. In these regulations the words "bookmaker," "trotting club," and "race meeting" shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.
  2. The following persons shall be and hereby are excluded from the said racecourse while the same is used or occupied by the said club for racing purposes, namely,—
    (a.) Bookmakers.
    (b.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any trotting club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the New Zealand Trotting Association.
    (c.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.
    The foregoing regulations of the Timaru Trotting Club were made and adopted by the said club at its meeting held on the 27th day of July, 1917, and signed by

RESOLUTION.

THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Southland Racing Club (Incorporated) at a meeting held on the 15th day of June, 1917, at Invercargill, with a recommendation by the Chairman of the Club, Mr. William Thomas Hazlett, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by the Governor-General, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. William Thomas Hazlett, the Chairman of the Club and the Meeting, moved, and Mr. James Ritchie seconded, and it was resolved, that such regulations should be adopted, and that the Chairman be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.
The following are the regulations referred to:—
SOUTHLAND RACING CLUB (INCORPORATED).
REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)
In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Southland Racing Club (Incorporated) a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as "the said club"), doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the course situate in the district of Southland, and known as the Southland Racing Club's course, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

  1. In these regulations the words "bookmaker," "racing club," and "race meeting" shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.
  2. The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely,—
    (a.) Bookmakers.
    (b.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference.
    (c.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.
    The foregoing regulations of the Southland Racing Club (Incorporated) were made and passed by the Southland Racing Club (Incorporated) on the 15th day of June, 1917, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.
