Staff Nurse Laura Martha Charlotte Ibbetson is struck off
the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force with effect
from 6th October, 1917, and is posted to the Retired List.

Staff Nurse Dora Moore, N.Z. Expeditionary Force, is struck
off the strength with effect from 6th November, 1917, and
is posted to the Retired List. Dated 6th November, 1917.
Staff Nurse Mabel M. Coates is struck off the strength of the
N.Z. Expeditionary Force with effect from 24th October,
1917, and is posted to the Retired List. Dated 24th
October, 1917.
The notices published in the various N.Z. Gazettes relating
to Sisters Camilla Steele, Dora E. Giffney, Catherine Gib-
bons Blackie, Eliza Dorcas Stubbs, Christine F. Maclean,
Anne Duncan Campbell, Lilian McLoghry, Gertrude C.

their appointments, is cancelled.

the 8th November, 1917, relating to Staff Nurse Mabel
Elizabeth Jamieson, is cancelled.

of Captain on ceasing to do duty with the Adjutant-

2nd Lieutenant James Wilson, N.Z. Expeditionary Force, is
struck off the strength with effect from the 12th December,
1917, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority
—viz., 2nd Lieutenant, as from the 23rd September, 1916
(vide N.Z. Gazette No. 107, of the 21st September, 1916).
2nd Lieutenant Frederick Ashley Hosking, N.Z. Expedition-
ary Force, is struck off the strength with effect from 12th
December, 1917, and is absorbed with his original rank
and seniority—viz., 2nd Lieutenant, as from the 24th June,
1916 (vide N.Z. Gazette No. 69, of the 22nd June, 1916).
2nd Lieutenant George Neville Hill, N.Z. Expeditionary
Force, is struck off the strength with effect from the 12th
December, 1917, and is absorbed with his original rank and
seniority—viz., 2nd Lieutenant, as from the 24th June,
1916 (vide N.Z. Gazette No. 69, of the 22nd June, 1916).
2nd Lieutenant William Athol de Capell Mills, N.Z. Expe-
ditionary Force, is struck off the strength with effect from
the 14th December, 1917, and is absorbed with his original
rank and seniority—viz., 2nd Lieutenant, as from the 12th
February, 1917 (vide N.Z. Gazette No. 22, of the 8th Feb-
ruary, 1917).

Award of Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officers’ Decoration.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to approve of the award of the Colonial Auxiliary
Forces Officers’ Decoration to
Major (temp. Lieut.-Colonel) ROBERT VALPY FULTON,
New Zealand Medical Corps,
he having a total commissioned service to the 9th November,
1917, entitling him thereto, of twenty years and thirty-one
days.

Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Ashburton and the
Hampstead Town District.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 20 of the Muni-
cipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the bound-
aries of the Borough of Ashburton are hereby defined as set
out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said
borough having been altered by an Order in Council dated
the 13th day of August, 1917, made under the Municipal
Corporations Act, 1908, as amended by the Municipal Cor-
porations Amendment Act, 1913, published in the New Zea-
land Gazette No. 129, of the 16th day of August, 1917.
And also, in pursuance of the said section 20 of the Muni-
cipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the boundaries of
the Hampstead Town District affected by the said Order in
Council dated the 13th day of August, 1917, are hereby
defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF ASHBURTON.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, bounded by
a line commencing at the junction of roads at the western-
most corner of Rural Section 4906, along the south-western
boundary of that section and its production to the south-
eastern side of East Street, along the south-eastern side of
that street to King Street, along the south-western side of
King Street to Brucefield Avenue, along the north-western
side of that avenue to and along the south-western side of
Kitchener Street to Bridge Street, along the north-western
side of Bridge Street to and across a road to the northern-
most corner of Rural Section 4904, along the north-western
boundary of that section, across a road, along the north-
western boundary of Rural Section 4873 and that boundary
produced to the left bank of the Ashburton River, along the
left bank of that river to a point in line with the south-
eastern boundary of Rural Section 4905 ; thence to and along
the south-eastern boundary of that section and a right line to
the westernmost corner of Rural Section 4906, the place of
commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE HAMPSTEAD TOWN DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, bounded by a
line along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of
the Borough of Ashburton from the left bank of the Ashburton
River to the Main Trunk Railway Reserve ; along the south-
eastern side of that reserve and the south-western side of the
road forming the north-eastern boundaries of Reserves 2471,
2644, 1261, 3446, 1120, and Sections 14370 and 15470 ; along
the north-western side of the road forming the south-eastern
boundaries of Sections 15470, 15999, 13705, 10350, and Re-
serves 1415 and 1119 to Wakanui Road ; along the north-
eastern side of that road to a point in line with the south-
eastern side of Trevor’s Road, across the road, and along the
south-eastern side of the said Trevor’s Road to the left bank
of the Ashburton River ; and along the left bank of that
river to the Ashburton Borough, the place of commencement.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Hunga-
hunga Drainage District, Counties of Piako and Matamata.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to
His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Land
Drainage Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the
Schedule hereto may be included in the Hungahunga Drainage
District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge
any written objections to or petitions against the proposed
inclusion which they desire to lodge, within one month from
the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions
to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
