Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Hororata Domain.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of November, 1917.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain :
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the seventeenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and ten, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Hororata Domain :
And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the twenty-eighth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen :
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

HERBERT OLIVER,
JOSEPH HOCKERIDGE,
HERBERT HENRY THORNE,
WILLIAM THWAITES, and
JOSEPH HART
to be the Hororata Domain Board, having the control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act ; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, at 7.30 o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Hororata Public Hall as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.
HORORATA DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 226 acres 1 rood 32 perches, being Reserves 1589 and 2217, situated in Block XII, Hororata Survey District, and bounded as follows : Towards the north by Thwaites Road, 3613·1 links ; towards the east generally by Section 18164, 4510 links and 532 links, and by Section 12576, 2760 links ; towards the south-east by Section 12591, 2133 links ; and towards the west generally by Haldon Road, 1892 links, 5641·7 links, and 1036 links, and by Reserve 1074, 281·6 links and 1000 links, to the starting-point : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/38, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

License authorizing James Stewart to erect Electric Lines across Awaroa Road, Helensville.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section two of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, it is provided that no person shall lay, construct, place, put up, or use any electric line except under the authority of a license issued by the Governor-General in Council under that Act :
And whereas James Stewart (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”) desires to erect electric lines along the route defined in the Schedule hereto, and hereinafter called “the said electric lines,” and it is expedient accordingly to issue a license in respect thereof under the said section :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said section, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth, subject to the conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto, and to the regulations made under section two of the aforesaid Act, and published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and hereinafter referred to as “the regulations,” hereby authorize the licensee to erect and maintain the said electric lines for lighting, power, and heating purposes.

SCHEDULE.
- THE ROUTE OF THE ELECTRIC LINES AUTHORIZED.
THAT route across Awaroa Road, in the Township of Helensville, near the corner of Awaroa Road and Garfield Street, connecting the engine-house and site of picture palace in the Otamateanui Block, part of 1581 (red), Block XIV, Kaipara Survey District. As the said route is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42517, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, Wellington, in the Land District of Wellington, and thereon shown by double black lines.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (a) (1) of clause 2 of the regulations.
The generating voltage shall be approximately 110 to 120 volts between the terminals.
- DATUM TEMPERATURE.
For the purpose of calculating the stresses as provided in clause 12 of the regulations, the datum temperature shall be taken as 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
- DURATION OF LICENSE.
This license shall, unless sooner determined in accordance with the provisions hereinafter expressed, continue in force for a period of forty-two years from the date hereof. Upon the expiry of the said term, or upon the sooner determination of this license by revocation or otherwise, all rights hereby granted to the licensee shall thereupon cease and determine ; but such expiration or determination shall not relieve the licensee of any liability theretofore incurred under this license.

Transfer of Kaikoura Citizens Defence Corps Fund to the War Relief Association of Kaikoura (Incorporated), under the War Funds Act, 1915.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section thirteen of the War Funds Act, 1915 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided that any person, society, or trustees (whether such society or trustees are incorporated or not) having control of any war fund may, with the consent of the Governor-General in Council, transfer such fund to any other society or trustees incorporated pursuant to section twelve of the said Act, to be applied by such last-mentioned society or trustees for the purposes for which such last-mentioned society or trustees were incorporated, notwithstanding that such purposes may not be identical with the purposes for which the fund to be transferred was established ; provided that consent shall not be given to any application under this section unless the Governor-General in Council is satisfied that the fund to be transferred can be administered by the incorporated society or trustees for substantially the same purposes as those for which the fund was established : And whereas an application has been made by the trustees having control of the Kaikoura Citizens Defence Corps Fund to transfer the said fund held by such trustees, entitled “The Kaikoura Citizens Defence Corps Fund,” to the War Relief Association of Kaikoura (Incorporated) : And whereas the Governor-General in Council is satisfied that such fund can be administered by the War Relief Association of Kaikoura (Incorporated) for substantially the same purposes as those for which that fund was established : And whereas it is considered desirable to consent to such transfer ;
