And such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the first day of July in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolu-
tion making a special rate passed at a meeting of the Waiapu
County Council held on the 22nd day of October, 1917.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of eleven hundred and fifty pounds (£1,150),
authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City Council,
under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of con-
structing concrete channelling in and for the benefit of that
part of the City of Christchurch comprising the east side
of Stapleton’s Road, the south side of Shirley Road, part
of Canal Reserve (west side), Domain Road, and both sides
of North Parade, all in the area known as “North Richmond
Special-rating Area No. 4,” the said Christchurch City Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and
thirty-two one-hundred-and-twenty-fifths of a penny (2d.
and 32/125d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (being
the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised
within that portion of the City of Christchurch named, by
resolution of the Council passed on the 25th day of Sep-
tember, 1917, “North Richmond Special-rating Area No. 4”;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the 1st day of December in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

and having a frontage of about 57 links to Domain Road,
by a depth of 5 chains.

and situate at the corner of North Parade and North Avon
Road.

of about 75 links to North Parade, by a depth of 250 links.

Also that portion of Rural Section 325, having a frontage
of about 2810 links to Stapleton’s Road, by a depth of 250
links, and comprising part of Lots 32, 34, 35, 36, 37, and 38.

Also that portion of Rural Section 325, having a frontage
of about 2340 links to Shirley Road, by a depth of 250 links,
and comprising part of Lots 38, 39, and 40.

Also that portion of Rural Section 325, having a frontage
of about 1000 links to Canal Reserve, by a depth of 250
links, and comprising part of Lot 40.

Also that portion of Rural Section 325, having a frontage
of about 1940 links to North Parade, by a depth of 250 links,
and comprising part of Lots 33, 39, and 40.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted at a meeting of the Christchurch City Council held
on the 12th day of November, 1917.

TUMU-KAITUNA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Tumu-Kaituna Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of £3,250, authorized to be raised by the Tumu-
Kaituna Drainage Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1913, for widening and deepening existing drains and
making new drains, the said Tumu-Kaituna Drainage Board
hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4d. in the pound
on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Tumu-
Kaituna Drainage District classified as Class ‘A,’ and of
2d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable pro-
perty of the said district classified as Class ‘B’ and Class
‘C,’ and of no rate on the rateable value of all rateable
property of the said district classified as Class ‘D,’ com-
prising the whole of the Tumu-Kaituna Drainage District;
and that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the
1st day of November in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-
half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, Henry Albert Vercoe, Chairman of the Tumu-Kaituna
Drainage Board, hereby certify that the above is a true
copy of the resolution duly passed at a meeting of the said
Board held on the eleventh day of October, 1917.

Given under the seal of the Tumu-Kaituna Drainage
Board this tenth day of November, 1917.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of
the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of
the members of the above-named company will be held at
the company’s office, Room 12, Bank of Australasia Cham-
bers, Customhouse Quay, Wellington, on Wednesday, 5th
day of December, 1917, at 11.30 a.m., for the purpose of
having an account laid before them showing the manner
in which the winding-up has been conducted and the pro-
perty of the company disposed of, and of hearing any ex-
planation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of
determining the manner in which the books, accounts, and
documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof
shall be disposed of.
