Authorizing the Exchange of a Reserve in Block XIV, Coleridge Survey District, Canterbury Land District, for other Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day of November, 1917.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the First Schedule was heretofore duly set apart as a reserve for a gravel-pit: And whereas it is expedient that the said land should be exchanged for the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto, which the Governor-General deems of equal value and more suitable for the purposes of the reserve:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section twelve of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF RESERVE AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Reserve 2204, situated in Block XIV, Coleridge Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west, north-east, and south-east by Section 30102, 794·2, 629·6, and 794·2 links respectively; and towards the south-west by a public road, 629·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. X/12, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods, more or less, and being part of Section 30100, Block IX, Coleridge Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east and south-east by other part of the said Section 30100, 565·8 and 480·9 links respectively; towards the south-west and north-west by the Peak Hill Road, 474·6 and 489·4 links respectively.
Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods, more or less, and being part of Section 30102, Block XIV, Coleridge Survey District. Bounded towards the south-west, north-west, and north-east by other part of the said Section 30102, 497·6, 500, and 500·7 links respectively; and towards the south-east by Lake Coleridge Road, 500 links.
Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. X/12, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of section three of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, a majority of the ratepayers in the area described in the First Schedule hereto, situated in the County of Piako, have presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, praying that the land comprised in the said area be included in the Elstow Drainage District as constituted under the provisions of the said Act:
And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries of such drainage district in manner hereinafter appearing:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in section three of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby alter the boundaries of the said Elstow Drainage District by including in such district the area of land described in the said petition and in the First Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the boundaries of the said drainage district, with such addition as herein provided for shall be those described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA INCLUDED IN ELSTOW DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Waihou River in line with the north-western side of River Road; thence along the left bank of that river to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 8, Block XI, Aroha Survey District; thence to and along the south-eastern boundary of that section and along the north-eastern side of Stanley Road to the Cemetery Reserve, along the eastern, northern, and western boundaries of that reserve to and along Stanley Road to a point distant fifteen chains from the southernmost corner of Section 8 aforesaid; thence along a right line to the eastern end of Racecourse Road at the south-eastern corner of Section 105, along the northern side of that road to O’Brien’s Road; thence along a right line to a point on Cribb’s Road at the south-western corner of Section 3; thence along a line parallel to the Thames-Waikato Road across Sections 92A and 92 to the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 92, along that boundary to the northernmost corner of Thomas King’s section of 14 acres, along the north-eastern boundary of that section to Taylor’s Road, along that road to Hall Road, along Hall Road to the Thames-Waikato Road, along that road and the south-eastern boundary of the Elstow Drainage District to the Borough of Te Aroha, as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 3rd May, 1917, page 1868, and along the southern boundary of that borough to the Waihou River, the place of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ELSTOW DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Waihou River at the crossing of the Paeroa-Tahuna Road; thence along the left bank of that river to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 111 in Block IX, Aroha Survey District; thence to and along the north-western boundary of that section and Section 115 to Stanley Road; along the south-western side of that road to the road from Te Aroha to Waihou immediately south-east of the railway; along the north-western side of that road to the south-western boundary of the Borough of Te Aroha as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 3rd May, 1917, page 1868; thence along the southern boundary of that borough to the Waihou River, along the left bank of that river to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 8, Block XI, Aroha Survey District; thence to and along the south-eastern boundary of that section and along the north-eastern side of Stanley Road to the Cemetery Reserve, along the eastern, northern, and western boundaries of that reserve to and along Stanley Road to a point distant fifteen chains from the southernmost corner of Section 8 aforesaid; thence along a right line to the eastern end of Racecourse Road at the south-eastern corner of Section 105, along the northern side of that road to O’Brien’s Road; thence along a right line to a point on Cribb’s Road at the south-western corner of Section 3; thence along a line parallel to the Thames-Waikato Road across Sections 92A and 92 to the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 92, along that boundary to the northernmost corner of Thomas King’s section of 14 acres, along the north-eastern boundary of that section to Taylor’s Road, along that road to Hall Road, along Hall Road to the Thames-Waikato Road, along that road to and along the road forming the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 98, 10, and 9, Suburbs of Waihou, in Block XVI, Waitoa Survey District, to the southernmost corner of Section 9 aforesaid, along the eastern side of the road forming the western boundaries of Sections 9 and 8, across the railway, and along the north-eastern side of the road forming the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 18, 24, and 25 to the north-eastern boundary of the Hungahunga Drainage District as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 12th December, 1912, page 3451, and along the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of that drainage district to the Waitoa River; along the right bank of that river to Section 33, Block XI, Waitoa Survey District; along the south-eastern and north-
