Land set apart for Selection.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section sixty-three of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, it is, amongst other things, enacted that in no case shall any moneys be expended under the provisions of the said section sixty-three in connection with any block of land, unless that block is set apart for selection under that section pursuant to Proclamation in that behalf:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the aforesaid Act, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for selection.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Taumatatotara Block.

SECTION 4, Block III, Sections 6, 9, 10, and 11, Block VI, Section 6, Block VII, Section 4, Block XI, and Section 8, Block XII, Kawhia South Survey District: Area, 3.528 acres 0 roods 21 perches.

As the same is delineated upon the plan marked L. and S. 5/100, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this ninth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Resuming Land for a Gravel-pit and Access thereto in Mangaone Survey District, Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-four of the Land Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor in Council may by Proclamation resume possession of any land leased under Part IV of the said Act, or under any corresponding Part of the Land Act, 1892, which in his opinion is required for any public purpose:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land which is held on lease in perpetuity from His Majesty the King issued under Part IV of the Land Act, 1892, dated the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a public purpose—that is to say, for a gravel-pit and access thereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and forty-four of the Land Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that I hereby resume possession of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore mentioned, the same being part of the land held under lease in perpetuity as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing 3 acres 3 roods 6 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 of Section 15, Block XV, Mangaone Survey District. Lands set apart for State-forest Purposes in the Nelson Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the State Forests Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the forest land described in the Schedule hereto, forming part of the Crown lands in New Zealand, as and for a State forest within the provisions of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by estimation 1,310 acres, more or less, and situated in Blocks VI and X, Aorere Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by an area of 1,850 acres set apart for State-forest purposes by a Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette of 1917, page 386; towards the north-east by an area of 1,600 acres, similarly set apart in the said Proclamation, by a road along the right bank of Silverstream; towards the south-east by freehold Section (part) 17, Block VI aforesaid; again towards the north-east by the last-mentioned section, and by Sections 16, 15, and 14 in the said block, and by a line, in continuation of the said last-mentioned north-eastern boundary, across the Aorere Valley Road, to the left bank of the Aorere River; again towards the south-east by the said bank; towards the south generally by the left bank of the Fifteen-mile Creek to the north-western side of the Aorere Valley Road; again towards the south-east by the said road; towards the south-west by Section 3, Block X, Aorere Survey District; again towards the south-east by the last-mentioned section, and by Section 2 of the said block: excepting part of the Aorere Valley Road, and the road up Fifteen-mile Creek, which intersect the land included within the above-described boundaries. As
