APPOINTMENTS AND GRANT OF TEMPORARY RANK TO OFFICERS OF THE IMPERIAL ARMY AND TERRITORIAL FORCE.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments and grant of temporary rank to the undermentioned officers of the Imperial Army and Territorial Force.
APPOINTMENTS.
GENERAL HEADQUARTERS.
Major James Lewis Sleeman, Imperial General Staff, is granted the temporary rank of Lieut.-Colonel whilst holding the appointment of Director of Military Training. Dated 30th October, 1917.
NEW ZEALAND EXPEDITIONARY FORCE TRAINING CAMPS.
Major Richard Neave, Essex Regiment, is granted the temporary rank of Lieut.-Colonel whilst holding the appointment of Infantry Instructor in N.Z. Expeditionary Force training camps. Dated 30th October, 1917.
2nd Lieutenant Harry Hector Doughty, New Zealand Field Artillery, A Battery, is confirmed in his appointment as Field Artillery Instructor in Expeditionary Force training camps, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant whilst so employed. Dated 30th October, 1917.
2nd Lieutenant (temp.) Percy Robert Chapman, New Zealand Army Service Corps, No. 8 Company, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant whilst employed as Officer in Charge Transport. Dated 1st November, 1917.
Sergeant Arthur Tyndall is appointed Camp Works Engineer Officer in Trentham Camp on the Staff of the Director of Railways and Works, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant, Unattached List (b), General List, whilst so employed. Dated 30th October, 1917.
Lieutenant (temp.) Charles Frederick Bishop, New Zealand Army Service Corps, is granted the temporary rank of Captain whilst holding the appointment of Officer in Charge of Supplies, K Shed. Dated 1st November, 1917.
