- Dangerous Areas.
The undermentioned areas are dangerous to navigation:—
Gulf of Spezia.—The portion of the gulf comprised within a line joining Scuola Tower and Maralunga Point.
Strait of Bonifacio.—Mines have been found between Lavezzi and Razzoli Islands; the passage between them is therefore dangerous.
Ischia Island Northern Approaches.—The area to the northward of Ischia Island between the parallels of lat. 40° 45′ N. and lat. 40° 55′ N., and the meridians of long. 13° 51′ E and long. 14° 1′ E., is dangerous on account of mines.
Sicily, West Coast.—The area between Levanzo Island and Trepani, enclosed between the parallels of lat. 37° 59′ N. and lat. 38° 4′ N., and the meridians of long. 12° 20′ E. and 12° 30′ E.

AUCKLAND HARBOUR.—DREDGING.

THE Auckland Harbour Board have notified that the dredger “Hapai” is now working approximately 200 ft. west of the centre of King’s Wharf and in towards the north-eastern corner of Central Wharf. It has six moorings laid out in north, south, east, and west directions.

HAURAKI GULF.—MAORI ROCK BEACON DISAPPEARED.

NOTICE is hereby given that Maori Rock beacon, at north entrance of passage between Kawau Island and the mainland, has disappeared. It will be re-erected at earliest opportunity.

GISBORNE ROADSTEAD.—DREDGE-MOORINGS LAID OFF HARBOUR ENTRANCE.

THE Gisborne Harbour Board have notified that dredge-moorings have been laid in Gisborne Roadstead 350 ft. westward from end of the groyne.

Public Service Stores Tender Board.—Supply and Delivery of Telegraph Arms.
Wellington, 25th October, 1917.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Chairman, General Post Office, Wellington, not later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, the 21st November, 1917, for the supply and delivery of 27,500 rata (Metrosideros robusta) or tallow-wood telegraph arms.
