Additional Land in Ohinemuri Survey District taken for the
Purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Athenree
Section).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use,
convenience, or enjoyment of the East Coast Main
Trunk Railway (Athenree Section), to take further land in
Ohinemuri Survey District, in addition to land previously
acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-
eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in
the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above
mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 20 perches.
Being Residue Section 171, Waihi Township, Borough of
Waihi.
Situated in Block XVI, Ohinemuri Survey District. (S.O.
19796.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43168,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured pink, edged blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-
Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of
New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued
under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the
Government House at Wellington, this twenty-
ninth day of October, in the year of our Lord one
thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Amending a Proclamation proclaiming Road as closed in
Block IX, Ruakaka Survey District, Whangarei County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section five of the Land Act, 1908, it is
provided that every Proclamation, Order in Council,
or other instrument, whether made under any Act in force
prior to the commencement of that Act, or made under or
by virtue of that Act, and all the regulations, by-laws, con-
ditions, or rules made by the Governor-General, the Minister,
or any Land Board, may be altered, amended, or revoked
from time to time:

And whereas it is necessary to amend a Proclamation
issued under the Land Act, 1908, proclaiming road as closed
in Block IX, Ruakaka Survey District, dated the sixth day
of August, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 129, page 3224, of
the sixteenth day of the same month, and hereafter referred
to as “the said Proclamation”:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and autho-
rity vested in me by the said Act, do hereby amend the said
Proclamation as follows, namely: By inserting the following
Schedule in the said Proclamation in lieu of the Schedule
mentioned therein.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 2 acres
2 roods 31 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Allotments 327 and 389, Waipu
Parish, and N. 109, Ruarangi Parish.
Situated in Block IX, Ruakaka Survey District (S.O. 19350).

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 41697,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-
Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of

Porangahau Survey District, Porangahau Road District,
Patangata County.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents
of the owner of the land described in the First Schedule
hereto, and of the Porangahau Road Board, being the local
authority in whose district the said land is situated,
proclaim as a road the land in Porangahau Survey District
described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby,
with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the
road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not
required by reason of the road described in the First
Schedule hereto.

Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and
thereon coloured as above mentioned.
