Declaring certain Area added to the County of Malvern to be
included in Courtenay Riding thereof.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the first day of
October, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen,
and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the same date,
the boundaries of the Counties of Paparua and Malvern were
altered by the exclusion of a certain area from the County of
Paparua, and the inclusion of such area in the County of
Malvern: And whereas it is desirable that the area so added
to the County of Malvern should be included in the Courtenay
Riding of that county:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred
upon me by section twenty-two of the Counties Act, 1908,
do hereby declare that the area included as aforesaid in the
County of Malvern shall be included in the Courtenay Riding
of the said county, and that the boundaries of that riding
shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF COURTENAY RIDING, COUNTY OF MALVERN.
ALL that area in Malvern County bounded towards the
north-east by a line along the middle of the Waimakariri
River, towards the east by Paparua County, towards the
south-east by Springs County, towards the south-west by
Selwyn County, and towards the north-west by the Homebush
and Sheffield Ridings.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-
Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of
New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued
under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the
Government House at Wellington, this twenty-
fourth day of October, in the year of our Lord
one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

by Discharged Soldiers, under Ordinary Tenures, in the
Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section three of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the areas of
Crown (national endowment) land described in the Schedule
hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart for
selection by discharged soldiers, under the Land Act, 1908.
