of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, New Zealand,
1917, now residing in Dunedin, hereby give notice that I
intend applying on the 17th November, 1917, next to have
my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of
New Zealand ; and that I have deposited the evidence of my
qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths
at Dunedin.

WHANGAMARINO ROAD BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
the Whangamarino Road Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect
of principal and interest and other charges on a loan of £700
sterling authorized to be raised by the Whangamarino Road
Board, under the above-named Act, for forming, metalling,
and providing culverts on Waipuna Valley Road, the said
Whangamarino Road Board hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one halfpenny (½d.) in the pound sterling upon the
rateable value of all rateable property in the Waipuna Special-
rating Area, situated in the Waerenga Subdivision of the
Whangamarino Road District, and described as follows,
The Waipuna Special-rating area is bounded on the north
by Section 259 and Crown land, and Section 1, Block X,
Piako Survey District, and Section 3, Block XI, Piako Survey
District; on the east by the boundaries of Waikato and
Ohinemuri Counties, Blocks XI and XV, Piako Survey Dis-
trict; and on the south by Sections 454, 453, 488, 507, 484,
Block XV, Piako Survey District ; and on the west by
Sections 472A, 473A, 351, 189A, 262, Block XIV, Piako Survey
District, and by Section 261, Block X, Piako Survey District.
And comprises the following : Sections 411, 413, 415, 417,
419, Block X, Piako Survey District; Sections 421, 423, 425,
502, Block XI, Piako Survey District; Sections 501, 485, 486,
483, 503, 422, 424, Block XV, Piako Survey District; Sec-
tions 482, 500, 412, 414, 416, 418, 420, Block XIV, Piako
Survey District.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the first day of August in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy
of and extract from the minutes of the proceedings of the
Whangamarino Road Board as passed at a special meeting
of the said Board at Waerenga on the 13th day of October,
1917.

TAURANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Tauranga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga
Borough Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
for the purpose of metalling, channelling, kerbing, and
asphalting the streets and footpaths of the borough, the said
Tauranga Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of threepence three-farthings (3½d.) in the pound on the
rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of
Tauranga, comprising the whole of the said borough; and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first
day of January in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy of
and extract from the minutes of the proceedings of the
Tauranga Borough Council as passed at a meeting of the said
Council at Tauranga on the 27th day of August, 1917.

WHANGAMARINO ROAD BOARD.

SPECIAL ORDER.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by
section 16 (e) of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
and with the consent of the ratepayers of the Waipuna
Special-rating Area, situated in the Whangamarino Road
District, hereinafter described, testified by a petition signed
by not less than three-fourths of the ratepayers of the said
special-rating area the capital values of whose properties as
appearing on the valuation roll of the Whangamarino Road
Board is collectively greater than the capital values of the
properties of the ratepayers who did not so consent, the
Whangamarino Road Board hereby resolves by way of
special order as follows :
For the purpose of forming, metalling, and providing
culverts on the Waipuna Valley Road, the Whangamarino
Road Board hereby authorizes the raising of a loan of £700
sterling at 4½ per centum per annum for a period of 36½ years;
and declares that the cost of raising the said loan, and the
first year's interest on the loan, shall be payable out of the
moneys so raised.

WAIPUNA SPECIAL-RATING AREA.

Sections 411, 413, 415, 417, 419, Block X, Piako Survey
District; Sections 421, 423, 425, 502, Block XI, Piako Survey
District; Sections 501, 485, 486, 483, 503, 422, 424, Block XV,
Piako Survey District; Sections 482, 500, 412, 414, 416, 418,
420, Block XIV, Piako Survey District.

I hereby certify that the above resolution and special order
is a true copy of and extract from the minutes of the pro-
ceedings of the Whangamarino Road Board as passed at a
meeting of the said Board at Waerenga on the 8th day of
September, 1917.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION re SPECIAL RATE ON LOAN OF £100, BEING
10 PER CENT. ON ORIGINAL LOAN OF £1,000, OHAUPO
COUNTY ROAD.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by section 18 of the Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1913, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as
follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £100, being raised for the purpose of
completing the work for which the original loan of £1,000
was borrowed—viz., metalling the County Road through
Ohaupo—the said Waipa County Council makes and levies a
special rate of 1/32d. in the pound on the rateable value of
all rateable property in the Ohaupo Town District; and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of August in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of resolution
passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Waipa County
Council held at Ohaupo on the 9th day of October, 1917.
