Notice to Mariners.—No. 91 of 1917.
WAIKATO RIVER.—EROSION OF CLIFF AT NORTH HEAD.

NOTICE is hereby given that since the Gazette Notice to Mariners No. 32, of 10th April, 1917, the erosion at the North Head of Waikato River is still continuing, and the seaward beacon which in March, 1917, was 150 ft. from the edge of the cliff was found to be only 5 ft. away. This beacon has now been removed, and re-erected 390 ft. behind what was formerly the back beacon, and 870 ft. inland.
The beacons when in line with one another now bear 65° (N. 49½° E. magnetic), the front beacon being about 480 ft. and the back beacon 870 ft. inland from the cliff.
