Notifying Lands in Otago Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the fifth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Good building-sites, covered with light manuka scrub. Situated at the mouth of the Taieri River. The locality is rising in prominence as a seaside resort. The nearest railway-station is Henley, on the main line. Communication is by motor-launch, and the journey down the river gives a view of very fine scenery. School and post and telegraph offices are quite convenient.

Level and ridgy sections on which there is a good deal of heavy gorse; good building-sites. Fair soil. There is a school and a post-office within a mile, and Romahapa Railway-station is about three miles distant.

Declaring Road-lines through Land in Clayton Settlement Canterbury Land District, to be closed.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General from which it appears that the roads described in the Schedule hereto are unformed and unused, and that the said roads intersect land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and are not suitable to the subdivision of such land:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of section eighty of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do by this notice hereby close the roads hereinafter described; and I do hereby declare that the said roads shall thereupon become subject to the said Act.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
THOMAS TODD
to be a trustee, in the place of John Osborne Clapp, who has left the district, and
ROBERT JAMES IRWIN
to be an additional trustee, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Nightcaps Public Cemetery, in conjunction with James Grant, James George Johnston, John Lloyd, and Robert Ronald, previously appointed.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this twenty-third day of October, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the second section of the Timber-floating Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the undermentioned streams and their tributaries may be used under license for the purposes of the said Act.
