LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section four of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
DAVID MANSON,
DAVID STEWART, and
EDWARD HENRY WHITMORE
to be trustees for the maintenance and care of the Hanmer Plains Public Cemetery, in the place of Edwin Richard Turton and William John Thomas, who have left the district, and John Hardy Mead, resigned, to act in conjunction with Walter George Morrison and John Dodds, previously appointed.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this eleventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Land in Block XIII, Hautapu Survey District, Wellington Land District, set apart for a Rifle Range.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by the eighty-eighth section of the Defence Act, 1909, it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor may from time to time set apart any Crown land for permanent training-grounds, or for rifle or artillery practice, or for the erection of drill-sheds or other buildings necessary for military purposes, or for the erection of butts, ranges, and other accommodation for the use of the Defence Forces :
And whereas the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is required for the purpose of a rifle range :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto for a rifle range.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 41 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section 12, Block XIII, Hautapu Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west and north-east generally by Rifle Range Road, 153·3 links, and by part of Section 11, 167·1 and 3532·9 links; towards the south-east generally by a river-bank reserve along the Rangitikei River; and towards the south-west by other part of Section 11, 3564·8 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/750, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged green.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this fifteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

being a person holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at Balfour, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.
