SCHEDULE.
WAIKARE RIDING, HAWKE'S BAY COUNTY.
to the Tangatupura Stream; thence down the middle of said
stream and the Mangatarata Stream to the Tukituki River;
thence up the middle of the said river and up the middle of
the old Waipawa River bed to the Waipawa-Tamumu Road;
thence north-westerly along the middle of that road to the
Waipawa-Patangata Road; thence by a right line to the
easternmost corner of Block 14 in Block XI, Waipukurau
Survey District; thence along the north-east boundary of
said block to the Te Aute Road; thence north-easterly along
the middle of said road to the Otane Town District; thence
along the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of said
town district as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 65,
16th December, 1886, page 1584, and again along the middle
of the Te Aute Road to the point of commencement.
WAIPUKURAU COUNTY.
All that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District bounded by
a line commencing at the junction of the Mangatarata Stream
and the Tukituki River; thence along the middle of the
Mangatarata and Tangatupurs to the south-west corner of
Block 87 in Block VII, Motuotaria Survey District; thence
along the south-west boundaries of that block and Block 86
to a point where the production of the north boundaries of
Lots 20 and 9, Arlington Estate, intersect it; thence along
the said production and boundaries to the north-east corner
of Lot 21; thence along the south-east boundaries of said
Lot 21 and Lots 23 and 27, and along the north-east boundary
of Lot 26, all in the Arlington Estate, to the Purimu Stream;
thence up that stream to the north-east corner of Block 34
in Block XIII, Motuotaria Survey District; thence along
the east boundary of that block to the Turaekaitai Stream;
thence up that stream to its second intersection with the
Wangai Road; thence south-west along that road to a pro-
posed new road shown on deeds plan 636; thence along that
road to its south-eastern extremity; thence north-east along
the south-east boundary of Lot 3 deeds plan 636 to the
north-east boundary of the area of land shown on deeds
plan 524; thence along that boundary to the south-east
boundary of Block 56 in Block XIII, Motuotaria Survey
District; thence south-west along that boundary and along
the south-east boundaries of Block 60 and Wharawhara
Native Block to a right line between Trig. 27 and the south-
west corner of Block 77 in Block III, Mangatoro Survey
District; thence along that line and down the centre of the
Mangapuaka and Wangai Streams to the Whatatuna Stream;
thence up that stream and along the old boundaries, as de-
scribed in the First Schedule to the Waipukurau County
Act, 1907, to the place of commencement.

Declaring certain Area added to the County of Hawke's Bay to
be included in a Riding to be called Waikare Riding.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the fourteenth day
of September, one thousand nine hundred and seven-
teen and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirtieth
day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen,
the boundaries of the counties of Hawke's Bay, East Taupo,
and Wairoa were altered, inter alia, by the exclusion of a
certain area from the County of Wairoa and the inclusion of
such area in the County of Hawke's Bay: And whereas it is
desirable that the area so added to the County of Hawke's
Bay should be included in a riding of that county to be known
as th Waikare Riding:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred
upon me by section twenty-two of the Counties Act, 1908,
do hereby declare that the area included as aforesaid in the
County of Hawke's Bay shall on and from the thirteenth day
of October, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, be
included in a riding of the said county to be known as the
Waikare Riding, and that the boundaries of that riding shall
be those set forth in the Schedule hereto.
ALL that area bounded towards the north-west generally by
a line along the middle of the Mohaka River; towards the
north-east by the north-eastern boundary of Run No. 6 in
Block V, Waitara Survey District, and of Heru-a-Turea Block,
to and along the middle of the Waikare River to the sea;
towards the south-east by the sea; and towards the south-
west by the Petane Riding to the Mohaka River, the place
of commencement.

Section 127 of the Land Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Land Board of the Auckland Land
District has recommended that the Crown tenants
of the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto should be
afforded relief, owing to exceptional circumstances over
which they have no control preventing the profitable occu-
pation of such lands:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority conferred upon me by section twenty-five of
the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies
Empowering Act, 1911, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the lands
enumerated in the Schedule hereto to be subject to the
provisions of section one hundred and twenty-seven of the
Land Act, 1908; and I do further fix two years from the
dates mentioned in the said Schedule as the period for which
the said lands shall be exempt from payment of rent.
