Altering Boundaries of Patangata and Waipukurau Counties.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is provided by subsection two of section three of the Counties Amendment Act, 1913, that the boundaries of any one or more counties may be altered in accordance with a resolution proposing the alteration passed by the Council of each of such counties in which the principal Act is in force :
And whereas a resolution was passed by the Patangata County Council on the sixth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and sealed with the seal of the Council of the said county: And whereas a similar resolution was passed by the Waipukurau County Council on the seventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and sealed with the seal of the said county, praying for the inclusion in the Waipukurau County of that part of the Patangata County described in the said resolutions and in the First Schedule hereto: And whereas it is expedient to make such alteration in accordance with the said resolutions:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by the said Act, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the First Schedule hereto, being now part of the Patangata County, shall, on and from the second day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, be deemed to be added to and form part of the Waipukurau County; and, with the like power and authority, do proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the Counties of Patangata and Waipukurau respectively shall as from the aforesaid date be those set forth under their respective headings in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA TO BE ADDED TO WAIPUKURAU COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the Tangatupura Stream, being the south-west corner of Block 87 in Block VII, Motuotaria Survey District; then proceeding along the south-west boundaries of that block and Block 86 to a point where the production of the north boundaries of Lots 20 and 9, Arlington Estate, intersect it; then along the said production and boundaries to the north-east corner of Lot 21; then along the south-east boundaries of the said Lot 21 and Lots 23 and 27, and along the north-east boundary of Lot 26, all in the Arlington Estate, to the Purimu Stream; then up that stream to the north-east corner of Block 34 in Block XIII, Motuotaria Survey District; then along the east boundary of that block to the Turaekaitai Stream; then up that stream to its second intersection with the Wangai Road; then south-west along that road to a proposed new road shown on deeds plan 636; then along that road to its south-east extremity; then north-east along the south-east boundary of Lot 3, deeds plan 636, to the north-east boundary of the area of land shown on deeds plan 524; then along that boundary to the south-east boundary of Block 56 in Block XIII, Motuotaria Survey District; then south-west along that boundary and along the south-east boundaries of Block 60 and Wharawhara Native Block to the Patangata County boundary, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 92, of the 1st November, 1906, page 2851; then west, north, and east generally along that boundary to the Tangatupura Stream, being point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
PATANGATA COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point where the Te Aute Road crosses the southern boundary of the Hawke’s Bay County; then along that boundary as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 73, 1st September, 1904, page 2113, to the sea; then south-westerly along the sea-coast to the eastern boundary of Weber County; then along the eastern and northern boundaries of said county as described in the Schedule to the Weber County Act, 1902, to the eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XV, Mangatoro Survey District; then along the eastern boundaries of said Section 1 and Section 2, Block XV aforesaid, and Section 1, Block XI, and along the south-eastern boundaries generally of Small-grazing Run 73 to Te Uri Road; then easterly along the middle of that road to the south-eastern boundary of Section 3, Block VIII, Mangatoro Survey District; then along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of that section to the southern-most corner of Mangangarara No. 3 Block; then along a right line to Trig. 27, Block IV, Mangatoro Survey District; then to a point on the south-eastern boundary of Wharawhara Native Block, where it is intersected by a right line from the aforesaid Trig. 27 to the south-western corner of Block 77, Block III, Mangatoro Survey District; then north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of Wharawhara Native Block and Blocks 60 and 56 to the north-eastern boundary of the area of land shown on deeds plan 524; then north-westerly along that boundary to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 3, deeds plan 636; then south-westerly along that boundary to the south-eastern extremity of a proposed new road shown on deeds plan 636; then along that road to Wangai Road; then north-easterly along that road to the Turaekaitai Stream; then down that stream to the south-east corner of Block 34 in Block XIII, Motuotaria Survey District; then along the eastern boundary of said block to the Purimu Stream; then down that stream to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 26, Arlington Estate; then along that boundary and along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 27, 23, and 21, and along the north boundaries of Lots 20 and 9, all in Arlington Estate, and along the production of the last-named boundary to its intersection with the south-west boundary of Block 86 in Block VII, Motuotaria Survey District; then north-westerly along that boundary and along the south-west boundary of Block 87
