trustees incorporated pursuant to section twelve of the said Act, to be applied by such last-mentioned society or trustees for the purposes for which such last-mentioned society or trustees were incorporated, notwithstanding that such purposes may not be identical with the purposes for which the fund to be transferred was established; provided that consent shall not be given to any application under this section unless the Governor-General in Council is satisfied that the fund to be transferred can be administered by the incorporated society or trustees for substantially the same purposes as those for which the fund was established :
And whereas applications have been made by the persons named in the Schedule hereto for the consent of the Governor-General in Council to the transfer to the Horowhenua County Patriotic Association (incorporated) of the funds (hereinafter referred to as “the said funds”) set opposite their respective names in the said Schedule :
And whereas the Governor-General in Council is satisfied that such funds can be administered by the Horowhenua County Patriotic Association for substantially the same purposes as those for which those funds were established :
And whereas it is considered desirable to consent to such transfers :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the transfer of the said funds to the Horowhenua County Patriotic Association (incorporated).

Waimate County Council declared a Leasing Authority under the Public Bodies Leases Act 1908
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this first day of October, 1917.
Present :
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS the Waimate County Council is a body of persons having power to lease lands held in trust, reserved, or set apart for public purposes, and has requested the Governor-General in Council to declare it to be a leasing authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908 :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in compliance with such request, and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred by the above-mentioned Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the Waimate County Council is a leasing authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

WHEREAS the Riverton Athenæum (incorporated) is a body of persons having power to lease lands held in trust, reserved, or set apart for public purposes, and has requested the Governor-General in Council to declare it to be a leasing authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908 :

Validating Proceedings in connection with a Loan of £445, proposed to be raised by the Moa Road Board.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this first day of October, 1917.
Present :
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS the Moa Road Board, acting under and in pursuance of paragraph (e) of section sixteen of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, lately proposed to raise a loan of four hundred and forty-five pounds for the purpose of forming and metalling the Mangaotea Road within the Mangaotea No. 2 Special-rating Area :
And whereas the ratepayers’ consent given under paragraph (e) of section sixteen aforesaid is irregular, in that one of the subscribing ratepayers has attested the signatures of the other subscribers thereto :
And whereas the ratepayers have not been misled by the said irregularity, and it is expedient to validate the same :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and eleven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the ratepayers’ consent to the raising of the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though the signatures to the same had been properly witnessed, and that the validity of the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall not be called into question by reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.

Vesting Control of a Reserve under the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act, 1908.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this first day of October, 1917.
Present :
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him by section five of the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby vest the control of the reserve for recreation purposes described in the Schedule hereto, in the Minister of the Crown for the time being having the administration of the said Act, and doth hereby declare that the said reserve shall be administered under the said Act.
