Altering Boundaries of Paparua and Malvern Counties.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is provided by subsection two of section three of the Counties Amendment Act, 1913, that the boundaries of any one or more counties may be altered in accordance with a resolution proposing the alteration passed by the Council of each of such counties in which the principal Act is in force :
And whereas a resolution was passed by the Paparua County Council on the sixth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen :
And whereas a similar resolution was passed by the Malvern County Council on the third day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, praying for the alteration of the boundaries of such counties in the manner described in the said resolutions and in the First Schedule hereto :
And whereas it is expedient to make such alteration in accordance with the said resolutions :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by the said Act as amended by the Counties Amendment Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the First Schedule hereto, now being part of the County of Paparua, shall, as on and from the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, be deemed to be added to and form part of the County of Malvern; and, with the like power and authority, do proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the Counties of Paparua and Malvern respectively shall, as on and from the aforesaid date, be those set forth under their respective headings in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA EXCLUDED FROM PAPARUA COUNTY AND INCLUDED IN MALVERN COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the southern side of the Great South Road being the north-western corner of Rural Section 29001 in Block I, Leeston Survey District; thence along the said road to Burnham Road, along the middle of Burnham Road to the Main Trunk Railway line, along the said railway-line to Dunn’s Road, and along Dunn’s Road to the place of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
MALVERN COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded towards the north-west generally by Tawera County as described in the First Schedule to the Tawera County Act, 1909, from the middle of the Wakaepa Branch of the Selwyn River to the middle of the Waimakariri River; thence towards the north-east generally by a line along the middle of that river to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Rural Section 9616; thence towards the east generally by a right line to the north-eastern corner of the said Section 9616, and by its eastern boundary to Rural Section 12536, by the northern boundary of the last-mentioned section and that boundary produced to the middle of Station Road, by a line along the middle of Station Road to Halkett’s Road, a line along the middle of Halkett’s Road to Sandy Knolls Road, a line along the middle of Sandy Knolls Road to the Malvern Railway line, across the railway-line, and by a line along the middle of the road forming the western boundaries of Rural Sections 31462, 31530, 32004, and 31877 to Burnham Road, and along the
