In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the
matter of the CROATIAN PUBLISHING COMPANY (LI-
MITED), in Liquidation.
HEREBY give notice that by an order of the above-
named Court dated the 18th day of September, 1917,
the above-named company was ordered to be wound up by
the Court under the provisions of the said Act; and I hereby
call a meeting of the creditors of the company to be held at
my office, Government Buildings, Customs Street West,
Auckland, on Friday, 5th day of October, 1917, at 2.30 p.m.
And I further give notice that all claims against the said
company must be lodged with me on or before the 6th day
of November, 1917.

PALMERSTON NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.
REPAYMENT LOAN OF £31,350, 1917.—RESOLUTION MAKING
SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
the Palmerston North Borough Council hereby resolves as
follows:---
That, for the purpose of repaying the following loans which
were raised on the following dates, respectively, ---
(a.) Waterworks Extension Loan of £7,000: 1st October,
1910
(b.) Waterworks Loan of £6,500: 1st October, 1911
(c.) Waterworks Loan of £5,500: 15th April, 1912
(d.) Public Works Loan No. 3 of £8,000: 1st October, 1912
(e.) Sewerage Extension Loan of £4,550: 1st October, 1912
(f.) Hospital Loan of £1,375: 1st April, 1914
and under which there is now owing the principal sum of
£31,350 or thereabouts, the said Palmerston North Borough
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third
of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
in the Borough of Palmerston North; and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of thirty-six and one-half years (36½), or until
the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at a special meeting of the Palmerston North Borough Council
held on the 3rd day of August, 1917.

FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—TAUHERENIKAU BRIDGE
LOAN £6,500, 1917.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and
all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Feathers-
ton County Council hereby resolves as follows:---
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of six
thousand five hundred pounds (£6,500), authorized to be
raised by the Featherston County Council, under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing a reinforced-
concrete bridge over the Tauherenikau River on the main
road between Martinborough and Featherston, the said
Featherston County Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of one twenty-third of a penny in the pound
sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unim-
proved value) of all rateable properties in the County of
Featherston; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be pay-
able half-yearly on the 30th day of September and 31st day
of March respectively in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-
half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of
the Featherston County Council held at Martinborough this
14th day of September, 1917.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and In-
habitants of the Featherston County was affixed hereto in
pursuance of a resolution of the Council this 14th day of
September, 1917, in the presence of---

HAWKE'S BAY COUNTY COUNCIL.
PORT AHURIRI - WESTSHORE BRIDGE LOAN.—RESOLUTION
MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them
by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Hawke's Bay
County Council do hereby resolve as follows:---
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £8,000, authorized to be raised by this
Council, under the above-cited Act, for the purpose of making
up and completing their contribution towards the cost of the
Port Ahuriri Westshore combined road and railway bridge,
the Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of one-
twentieth of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rate-
able (that is, the capital) value of all rateable property within
the County of Hawke's Bay, the said special rate to be an
annually recurring rate during the term or currency of the
said loan, and to be payable yearly on the 1st day of August
in each year during that term (that is to say, during a period
of ten years from the 1st day of August, 1917), unless the
said loan shall be sooner paid off. The rate of interest on
the said loan to be five pounds five shillings (5s.) per centum
per annum."
We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
passed at a special meeting of the Hawke's Bay County
Council held at noon on Monday, the 10th day of September,
1917.
