THE following special order, made by the Waimarino County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1908.

WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order adjusting Representation in the Council.
In exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 23 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Waimarino County Council resolves as follows :—
(1.) That the present division of the said County of Waimarino into seven ridings is revoked, and in lieu thereof the said county shall be divided into eight ridings, to be called respectively Ohakune Riding, Manganui Riding, Huikumu Riding, Parapara Riding, Karioi Riding, Ruapehu Riding, Ruatiti Riding, and Morikau Riding, which said ridings are respectively described in the Schedule attached hereto.
(2.) That the said Waimarino County Council shall consist of eight members, who shall be elected as follows : The electors of the Ohakune Riding, Manganui Riding, Huikumu Riding, Parapara Riding, Karioi Riding, Ruapehu Riding, Ruatiti Riding, and Morikau Riding shall each elect one Councillor.
(3.) That the alteration hereby made shall take effect on and after the 14th day of November, 1917, being the day on which the triennial election of Councillors is to be held.
SCHEDULE.
Ohakune Riding.
Commencing at a point where the Rangitatau Stream joins the Mangawhero River, being the southernmost point of the Waimarino County ; then generally north by the said Mangawhero River to the northern boundary of the Tauakira Block ; then westerly along the northern boundary of the said block to the eastern corner of Section 1, Block XII, Tauakira Survey District ; then generally north by the said eastern boundary of the said Section 1, Block XII, Tauakira Survey District, to the north-western boundary of Section 3, Block V, Ngamatea Survey District ; then north-easterly along the said north-western boundary of the said Section 3, Block V, Ngamatea Survey District, to the Mangawhero River ; then generally north by the said Mangawhero River to the Hopetaka Stream ; then east by the said Hopetaka Stream and the northern boundary of Section 4, Block XI, Makotuku Survey District, to the Otiranui Road ; then generally south by the said Otiranui Road to the southern boundary of Section 2, Block XII, Makotuku Survey District ; then east and south by the southern boundary of Section 2, Block XII, Makotuku Survey District, and the eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XVI, Makotuku Survey District, to the Oruakukuru–Karioi Road ; then south and west by the Oruakukuru–Karioi, Junction, and Ohotu–Karioi Roads to the western boundary of Section 7, Ohotu Block, Blocks III and VII, Ngamatea Survey District ; then generally south by the said western boundary of Section 7, Ohotu Block, Blocks III and VII, Ngamatea Survey District, to the county boundary ; then south and west by the county boundary to the starting-point.
Manganui Riding.
Commencing at a point where the northern boundary of the Raetihi Town District joins the Makotuku Stream ; then westerly by the said northern boundary of the said Raetihi Town District to the eastern boundary of Section 26 Block VI, Makotuku Survey District ; then generally north, west, and south, by the eastern boundaries of Sections 26, 4, and 27, Block VI, Makotuku Survey District, and the northern boundary of Section 27, Block VI, Makotuku Survey District, and Section 21, Block II, Makotuku Survey District, to the Ameku Ridge Road ; then westerly along the said Ameku Ridge Road to the eastern boundary of Waimarino Reserve A ; then generally north by the eastern boundaries of Waimarino Reserve A and Waimarino Reserve No. 3 to the middle of the Manganui-o-te-ao River ; then generally east by the middle of the said Manganui-o-te-ao River to the south-western boundary of Block X, Manganui Survey District ; then north-west, north-east, and south-east by the south-west, north-west, and north-east boundaries of the said Block X, Manganui Survey District, to the middle of the Manganui-o-te-ao River ; then generally east by the middle of the said Manganui-o-te-ao River to the eastern boundary of Section 6, Block XII, Manganui Survey District ; then south by the eastern boundaries of Sections 6, 8, 12, 14, 17, Block XII, Manganui Survey District, to the centre of the Mangaturuturu Stream ; then westerly by the said middle of the Mangaturuturu Stream to the middle of the Ohakune–Matapuna Road ; then generally south by the middle of the said Ohakune–Matapuna Road to a point opposite the east boundary of Section 1, Block XVI, Manganui Survey District ; then generally south-east and south-west by the north-east and south-east boundaries of Sections 1, 6, 7, Horopito Township Reserve, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, Block XVI, Manganui Survey District, Sections 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, Block III, Makotuku Survey District, and Section 1, Block VII, Makotuku Survey District, to the south-western boundary of the said Section 1, Block VII, Makotuku Survey District ; then north-west by the south-western boundary of the said Section 1, Block VII, produced to the centre of the Makotuku Stream ; then generally south by the said Makotuku Stream to the starting-point.
Huikumu Riding.
Commencing at a point in the centre of the Pipiriki–Raetihi Road ; then generally west by the middle of the said Pipiriki–Raetihi Road to the eastern boundary of Section 16, Block XII, Rarete Survey District ; then generally south and west by the east and south boundaries of the said Section 16, Block XII, Rarete Survey District, to the eastern boundary of Section 17, Block XII, Rarete Survey District ; then generally west and south by the south boundaries of Section 17, Block XII, Rarete Survey District, Section 15, Block XI, Rarete Survey District, to the western boundary of the Otaranoho Block ; then generally south by the western boundary of the said Otaranoho Block and Ohoutahi Block to the Wanganui River ; then generally north by the said Wanganui River to the northern boundary of Waimarino Reserve No. 2 ; then generally east by the north boundary of the said Waimarino Reserve No. 2 and the north boundaries of Sections 7, 8, and 9, Block XV, Whirinaki Survey District (River Trust endowment), to the north-eastern boundary of the said Section 9, Block XV, Whirinaki Survey District ; then generally east and south by the north-west and north-east boundaries of Waimarino Reserve No. 3 to the middle of the Manganui-o-te-ao River ; then generally south by the western boundary of the Manganui Riding to the northern boundary of the Raetihi Town District ; then generally south by the western boundary of the Raetihi Town District to the starting-point.
Parapara Riding.
Commencing at a point in the centre of the Pipiriki–Raetihi Road (being the junction of the Raetihi Town District and Huikumu Ridings) ; then generally south and east by the west and south boundaries of the Raetihi Town District to the centre of the Makotuku River ; then generally south by the centre of the said Makotuku River and the Mangawhero River to a point opposite the south-eastern boundary of Section 4, Block V, Ngamatea Survey District ; then south-west by the south-east boundary of the said Section 4, Block V, Ngamatea Survey District, to the eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XII, Tauakira Survey District ; then north and west by the east and north boundaries of the said Section 1, Block XII, Tauakira Survey District, to the western boundary of the said Section 1, Block XII, Tauakira Survey District ; then north by the western boundary of Section 3, Block VIII, Tauakira Survey District, to the Ngarakauwhakarara Block ; then generally north by the boundaries of the Ngarakauwhakarara, Ranana, and Morikau No. 1 to the western boundary of Section 17, Block XV, Rarete Survey District ; then generally north by the western boundary of Section 17, Block XV, Rarete Survey District, and Section 12, Block XII, Rarete Survey District, to the southern boundary of the Huikumu Riding ; then generally east by the south boundary of the Huikumu Riding to the starting-point.
Karioi Riding.
Commencing at Ruapehu Trig., situated in Block XI, Ruapehu Survey District ; then south-west by the south-east boundary of Urewera No. 1a, south-east by the north-east boundaries of Rangataua North No. 1 and Waiakaka Block ; then generally south by the east boundary of the Waiakaka Block to the Mangaehuehu Stream, to a point opposite the south boundary of Section 5, Block IX, Karioi Survey District ; then generally west by the south boundary of Section 5, Block IX, Karioi Survey District, and the Otiranui Block to the east boundary of Section 1, Block XII,
