Rates of Postage on Letters and Inland Packets.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of September, 1917.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the seventeenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ten, regulations and rates of postage (including rates for registration and express delivery) were respectively made and fixed under the authority of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), for the transmission of letters and other postal packets through the post to places within or beyond New Zealand: And whereas it is desirable to revoke such regulations and rates and to make others in lieu thereof:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the aforementioned regulations and rates of postage, and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the regulations and fix the rates of postage set forth in the Schedule hereto; and doth further order and declare that such revocation shall have effect and such regulations and rates shall come into force on the fifteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.
