I, ARTHUR VICKERS STURTEVANT, Assistant Registrar of Companies for the District of Taranaki, do hereby give notice that an affidavit, a copy of which is hereunder given, by William George White and George Syme, two of the shareholders of the Hawera Town Hall Company (Limited), has been lodged with me; and that, unless notice of objection be lodged with me within sixty days of this date, I shall proceed to declare the said company to be dissolved in the manner provided by the Companies Act, 1908.

That the company has no assets, and has ceased to carry on business.

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—SHAFTSBURY DRAINAGE AREA LOAN, £600.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £600, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of drainage-works in the Shaftsbury Drainage Area, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate, on a graduated scale according to the classification list of lands within the said district, of twopence in the pound on the unimproved rateable value of all lands in Class “A,” of one penny halfpenny in the pound on the unimproved value of all lands in Class “B,” and of one penny in the pound on the unimproved value of all lands in Class “C,” all of which classes and the lands therein, together with their rateable values as appearing on the special roll of the district, are set out in the classification list marked “A” of the Shaftsbury Special Drainage District, the boundaries of which are as follows,—
All that area of land in the Te Aroha Riding of the County of Piako commencing at the north-west corner of Section 44, Block XII, Aroha (at the Waihou River), along the northern boundary of said Section 44 to the Te Aroha – Gordon Road, along such road southerly to the Wairakau Creek Bridge; thence by a right line from the said bridge easterly to the south-west corner of Section W. 53, Block III, Wairere; thence southerly along road through Section 19, Block III, Wairere, to the southern boundary of said Section 19, easterly along the southern boundary of th s section to Section 20A, Block III, Wa.rere; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections N. 17, S. 17, 13, 12, and 7 of said Block III; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Sections 7 and 3 to the Te Aroha – Gordon Road, along the Te Aroha – Gordon Road northerly to the south-east corner of Section 29, Block II, Wairere; thence westerly along the southern boundary of said Section 29 to the Waihou River, which along in a northerly direction to the point of commencement.
Such rates shall be annual-recurring rates during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I certify that the above resolution making a special rate was duly passed at a meeting of the Piako County Council held on the 21st day of May, 1917.
