His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienations of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Appointment of Member to Medical Board under Medical Practitioners Act, 1914.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Medical Practitioners Act, 1914, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint:—

to be a member of the Medical Board under the aforesaid Act.

Otago Acclimatization District defined.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint those parts of the said Dominion described in the Schedule hereto to be a district under and for the purposes of the said Act; and I do hereby declare that such district shall be known as the Otago Acclimatization District.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Otago and Southland Districts comprising the Counties of Vincent, Maniototo, Waihemo, Wai-kouaiti, Taieri, Peninsula, Tuapeka, Bruce, Clutha, and part of the County of Southland. Bounded on the east and south by the ocean from Shag Point to the mouth of the Mataura River, on the west by the Mataura River and the County of Lake, on the north-west by the County of Westland, and on the north-east by the County of Waitaki; including the City of Dunedin and the boroughs within the above-described area.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Auckland, Nelson, and Canterbury Land Districts.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Auckland, Nelson, and Canterbury Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being Section 3, Block XI, Waitoa Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Sections 1A and 1 in the aforesaid Block XI, 1000 links; towards the north-east by the aforesaid Section 1, 1000 links; towards the south-east by Section 5 (school-site) and Section 4 (creamery-site), 1000 links; and towards the south-west by a public road, 1000 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on plan marked L. and S. 1/627, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan No. 16433.) For a public recreation-ground.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 578 acres, more or less, being Section 9, Block V, Oparara Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by a road and by Section 14, Block I, Oparara Survey District; towards the north-east by the last-mentioned section; towards the south-east and south by Section 23, Block V aforesaid; and towards the west generally by a road. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 20/57, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For an endowment for primary education.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 51 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Reserve No. 3969, situated in Block XI, Upper Ashley Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east and south-east by Section 11, Lees Valley Settlement, 2600 links and 2610 links respectively; towards the west by a road reserve along the Whistler River; and towards the north-west by a public road, 700 links and 505·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/171, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. For a resting-place for travelling stock.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 15 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 3970, situated in Block VIII, Upper Ashley Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west and north-east by Section 13, Lees Valley Settlement, 1000 links and 1500 links respectively; and towards the south-east and south-west by a public road, 1000 links and 1500 links respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/628, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. For a public recreation-ground.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 3974, situated in Block XII, Upper Ashley Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east, north-west, and south-west by Section 12, Lees Valley Settlement, 500, 400, and 500 links respectively; and towards the south-east by a public road, 400 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/5/47, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. For gravel purposes.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 50 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 3981, situated in Block XII, Upper Ashley Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 350 links and 1964·3 links; towards the south-east by Section 12, Lees Valley Settlement, 1908·9 links; towards the south-west by a public road, 598·8 links, 399·4 links, and 500 links; and towards the north-west by a road reserve along the Ashley River: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/172, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured with a red margin. For a resting-place for travelling stock.
