Arrangements for First Election, &c., Lower Mangapiko Drainage District.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 25th August, 1917.
HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint
ARTHUR JOHN BRAY, Esq., of Te Awamutu,
to be Returning Officer for the purpose of conducting the first election of seven members of the Board of Trustees of the Lower Mangapiko Drainage District as constituted under the Land Drainage Act, 1908; also to appoint Wednesday, the 12th day of September, to be the date, and the office of the said Arthur John Bray, in Sloan Street, Te Awamutu, to be the place, for holding such first election; and also to appoint Saturday, the 15th day of September, 1917, at half past 11 o’clock in the morning, to be the day and the hour, and the said office in Sloan Street, Te Awamutu, to be the place, at which the first meeting of Trustees shall be held.

THE Napier Harbour Board have notified that on and after 14th September, 1917, the flagstaff which is now used for showing tidal signals at the Eastern Pier, Port Ahuriri, will be moved to the corner of the “D” shed, West Quay, and alongside of the night signal tide-lights.—
