DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto subsisting between us, GEORGE WATSON and KENNETH ROBERT MCKENZIE, carrying on business as Flax-millers at Kaikoura under the style or firm of “Watson & McKenzie,” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due to or owing by the late firm will be received and paid by the said GEORGE WATSON, who will continue the business in his own name.

THE PALMERSTON NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL REPAYMENT LOAN OF £10,200, 1917.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Palmerston North Borough Council hereby resolves: That, for the purpose of repaying the Public Works Loan No. 2 of eight thousand nine hundred and fifty pounds (£8,950), and the Hokowhitu Protection Loan of two thousand five hundred and fifty pounds (£2,550), both of which loans were raised on the first day of October, 1907, and under which there is now owing the principal sum of £10,200, or thereabouts, the said Palmerston North Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-ninth (1/9th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Palmerston North Borough Council held on the 17th day of July, 1917.
