DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

CLARKE AND TAYLOR.

THE Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, under the style of “Clarke and Taylor,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen. The bakery business carried on at Avondale will be continued by Mr. J. B. CLARKE in his own name, and he will receive and pay all debts due to and owing by the late firm of “Clarke and Taylor.”

RESOLUTION.

THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Oamaru Trotting Club at a meeting held on the 21st day of June, 1917, at Tattersall's Rooms, Oamaru, with a recommendation by the Chairman of the Club, Mr. P. C. Hjorring, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.

Mr. P. C. Hjorring, the Chairman of the Club and of the meeting, moved, “That it be and hereby is resolved that such regulations be adopted, and that the Chairman be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.”

The motion was seconded by Mr. J. R. Sewell, and carried.

The following are the regulations above referred to:

OAMARU TROTTING CLUB.

REGULATIONS.

(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)

In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Oamaru Trotting Club, a trotting club within the meaning of the said Act (and hereinafter referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the racecourse reserve situate at North Road, Oamaru, and set apart for racing purposes, and known as the Oamaru Trotting Club Racecourse, while the same is used and occupied by the said club for race meetings.

  1. In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “trotting clubs,” and “race meetings” shall have the meanings ascribed to them by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

  2. The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the said racecourse while the same is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings, namely:

(a.) Bookmakers.

(b.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any trotting club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the New Zealand Trotting Association.

(c.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.

The foregoing regulations of the Oamaru Trotting Club were made and adopted by the said club at its meeting held on the 21st day of June, 1917, and signed by

The foregoing regulations of the Oamaru Trotting Club are hereby approved this 5th day of July, 1917.

PICTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Picton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of six thousand eight hundred and forty-five pounds (£6,845), authorized to be raised by the Picton Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of installing an electricity generating plant and building, and erecting reticulating mains to supply the resi.
