HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the New Zealand Permanent Staff and Territorial Force.

NEW ZEALAND PERMANENT STAFF.

Staff Sergeant-major John William Fletcher is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant while employed as District Musketry Instructor, Auckland Military District. Dated 27th June, 1917.

Honorary Lieutenant Alfred Richard Hatt relinquishes the rank of Honorary Lieutenant on ceasing to act as District Musketry Instructor, Auckland Military District. Dated 27th June, 1917.

9TH (WELLINGTON EAST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.

Captain John Charles McKillop, from the Reserve of Officers, to be Captain, with seniority next below Captain Harold Noel Kebbell. Dated 17th March, 1915.

NEW ZEALAND FIELD ARTILLERY.

E Battery.

Major Charles Victor Leeming, N.Z. Expeditionary Force, is struck off the strength, and absorbed into the Establishment with his original rank and seniority—viz., Captain, as from 29th September, 1913 (vide N.Z. Gazette No. 28, of the 26th March, 1913); to date from 4th August, 1917.

Lieutenant Edwin James Phillips to be Captain. Dated 23rd June, 1917.

New Zealand Post and Telegraph Corps (North Island).
