I hereby certify that these descriptions are sufficient to
render the new boundaries capable of identification, and that
the original descriptions, as set out in the special order
attached hereto and marked 111/37/27, have herein been
amended without making any vitally material change in
what was evidently intended to be the area comprised in the
said special order.

CERTIFICATE re making special order altering the bound-
aeries of the Ridings of Waimangaroa, Ngakawau, Miller-
ton, Mokihinui, and Lyell, Buller County, made on the
20th March, 1917, confirmed at a meeting of the Council
held on the 17th April, 1917, and amended to render
the new boundaries more capable of identification, at a
meeting of the Council held on the 19th June, 1917.
I hereby certify that the above special order has been
duly made.

I hereby certify that the above special order made on the
17th April, 1917, was amended at the meeting of the Council
held on 19th June, 1917, the Chief Surveyor having certified
that the special order could be so amended without making
any change in what was intended to be the areas comprised
in the descriptions contained in such special order.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Eureka
Drainage District, County of Waikato.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 9th July, 1917.
It is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to
His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Land
Drainage Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the
Schedule hereto may be included in the Eureka Drainage
District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge
any written objections to or petitions against the proposed
inclusion which they desire to lodge, within one month from
the first publication of this notice, such objections or peti-
tions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs,
Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA TO BE INCLUDED IN EUREKA DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by
a line along the western boundary of Eureka Drainage Dis-
trict from the Waikato-Thames Railway to the junction of
roads at the easternmost corner of Section 3, Newstead Es-
tate; thence along the road forming the southern boundaries
of Sections 3, 2, and 1, said Newstead Estate, and of Sec-
tions 274 and 275 in Block XV, Komakorau Survey District,
and the road forming the south-eastern boundaries of Sec-
tions 276, 281, and 282; along the south-western boundary
of the said Section 282 and the road forming the north-western
boundary of that section to Section 301; along the south-
western and north-western boundaries of that section and
the road forming the south-western boundary of Section 13
to the Waikato-Thames Railway; and along that railway
to the western boundary of the Eureka Drainage District,
the place of commencement.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block II, Mapara
Survey District, for the Purposes of a Road.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute
a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road
in Block II, Mapara Survey District; and for the purposes
of such public work the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby
further given that the plan of the land so required to be
taken is deposited in the post-office at Te Kuiti, and is
there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by
the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the
said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of
such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such
writing, within forty days from the first publication of this
notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land required to be
taken:-

0 0 33.2 Mapara Survey District.
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same are more

deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and
thereon coloured purple.

Block I, Cheviot Survey District; and for the purposes

hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby
further given that the plan of the land so required to be
taken is deposited in the post-office at Spotswood, and is
there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by
the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the
said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of
such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such

notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
