THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act and regulations, and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order that the registration of the trade-mark No. 9306, registered in Class 3, shall, unless and until the Governor in Council shall otherwise order, be suspended so far as regards and in favour of the said Henry Solomon Wellcome, subject to the following terms and conditions:—

(a.) That any Salvarsan to which the trade-mark is affixed by the said Henry Solomon Wellcome or on his behalf is of such purity and strength as may be approved by the Dominion Analyst.

(b.) That the price at which any such Salvarsan to which the name is applied by the said Henry Solomon Wellcome or on his behalf shall not exceed such price as, having regard to the conditions arising from the present state of war, may be decided by the Minister of Justice.

(c.) That the company shall use with the name “Salvarsan” some other mark or means for distinguishing the goods.

Notice respecting Proposed Alterations of Boundaries, Waverley Town District.

Wellington, 17th January, 1917.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor, under the Town Boards Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Waverley Town District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE WAVERLEY TOWN DISTRICT.

ALL that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the southern side of Weraroa Road at the north-western corner of Section 335, thence along the southern side of that road to Section 326, Town Hall Reserve, along the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of the said Section 326, and again along the southern side of Weraroa Road to the north-eastern corner of Section 323, along the eastern boundary of that section, the southern boundaries of Sections 323, 324, 325, 327, across a road, and the southern boundaries of Sections 331, 332, 333, 334, and 335, and along the western boundary of the said Section 335 to Weraroa Road, the place of commencement.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor, under the Land Drainage Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be included in the Ellesmere Drainage District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed inclusion which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

AREA TO BE INCLUDED IN THE ELLESMERE DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line along the present boundary of the Ellesmere Lands Drainage District from the junction of Ellesmere Junction Road with Ellesmere Road, by Dawson’s to Quarry Road, along the eastern side of that road and the north-eastern side of Lower Lincoln Road to a point in line with the northern side of the road intersecting Sections 333 and 408, to and along the northern side of that road and the north-eastern side of Halswell Junction Road, to and across Springs Road, along the western side of Springs Road and the Southbridge Branch Railway to the southern side of Ellesmere Junction Road, and along the southern side of that road to Ellesmere Road by Dawson’s, the place of commencement.

Also all that area bounded by a line along the eastern side of Quarry Road from Hoon Hay Road to Section 6359, along the southern side of the road forming the northern boundaries of Sections 6359, 17607, and 19207 to a point opposite the south-eastern corner of Section 19208, across the said road, along the eastern boundaries of Sections 19208, 14330, 297, and 1108, and the northern boundary of the said Section 1108 to Quarry Road, the place of commencement.

Also all that area bounded by a line along the eastern side of old Lower Lincoln Road from the north-western corner of Section 1274 to Burke’s Bush Road, along the northern side of that road to Section 17736, along the north-western, northern, and western boundaries of that section to the south-eastern corner of Section 30249, and along the southern boundaries of Sections 30249, 19207, 17607, and 6359, to the place of commencement.

Also all that area bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Sections 3864 and 3898, thence along the south-eastern boundary of those sections to and across a road, and along the northern side of the said road, passing through Sections 3864, 3898, and 5481, across a road, and along the eastern side of the road intersecting Section 2146, forming the eastern boundary of Sections 2249, 2620, and intersecting 4394, to and across Gebbie’s Pass Road, and along the north-western side, and across that road to the place of commencement.

Notice of the Taking and Laying-off of a Road in Block I, Otanake Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, under the authority of section 93 of the Public Works Act, 1908, that the road described in the Schedule hereto was taken and laid off through the land specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said Dominion, by Warrant dated the 27th day of November, 1905.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road taken and laid off: 11 acres 2 roods 26 perches.

Portion of Kinohaku East No. 2, Section 5b, Block I, Otanake Survey District (S.O. 14091).

In the Auckland Land District; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 41450, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured pink.

Revoking Notice under War Regulations so far as it declares a certain Company to be an Enemy.

IN pursuance of clause 20 of the War Regulations of the 3rd day of April, 1916, under the War Regulations Act, 1914, I, Alexander Lawrence Herdman, His Majesty’s Attorney-General for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the notice under the said regulations, dated the 7th day of June, 1916, and published in the Gazette of the 8th day of June, 1916, declaring certain companies, firms, and persons to be enemies, in so far as such notice relates to Charles Zimmerman and Company (Chemicals), Limited, Manufacturing Chemists.
