Lands temporarily reserved in the Wellington, Marlborough,
and Otago Land Districts.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Wellington, Marlborough, and Otago Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section 6, Block VI, Ohakune Township Extension No. 1. Bounded towards the north-west by Section 4, 100 links; towards the north-east by Section 5, 250 links; towards the south-east by Tonga Street, 100 links; and towards the south-west by Titiroa Street, 250 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/148, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For a drill-shed site.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Section 2 (formerly Sections Part 134 and Part 182), Block XVI, Onamalutu Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a public road, 498·8 links; towards the east by Section 133, 997 links; towards the south by Sections Part 182 and Part 134, 500 links; and towards the west by Section Part 134, 998·4 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/5/42, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. For a gravel-pit.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section 11 (formerly portion of Section 2), Block XIV, Town of Glenorchy. Bounded towards the north-west by Mull Street, 150 links; towards the north-east, south-east, and south-west by Section 2 of the said Block XIV, 166·6, 150, and 166·6 links respectively. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/5/33, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. For a gravel-pit.
All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,773 acres 3 roods 31 perches, more or less, being Run 212c and Section 3, Block XVII, Greenvale Survey District: Bounded towards the east and south-east generally by a public road, 955·1, 340, and 449·3 links; Sections 13 and 14, Block IX, and Sections 20 and 19, Block V, 16661·2 links; towards the south by Section 12, Block XIII, 6520·2 links; towards the west by a stock-driving road and fire-break reserve, 578·3, 1757·7, 515, 250, 367·6, 1088·2, 6332·8, and 103 links; towards the north-west by Run 212f, 10273·7 links; towards the north-east by Section 6, Block XVII, 1172·5 links, and a public road, 181·1, 1660, 419·7, 567·7, 221·2, 525·1, 370·3, 705·1, 420·5, 525·1,
117·7, and 680·7 links; and towards the north by Section 2, Block XVII, 5981·7 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less, and excluding from the above-described boundaries a public road 100 links wide, a deduction for which has been made from the area. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. XII/11, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For forest-plantation purposes.
All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 3,395 acres 1 rood 10 perches, more or less, being Runs 212e and 212f, Greenvale Survey District. Bounded towards the south by Sections 13 and 14, Block XIII, Greenvale Survey District, 10402·0 links; across a road 100 links and by Section 15, Block XIII aforesaid, 3793·1 links; thence towards the west generally by the Pomahaka River Reserve 21125·6 links; across a road, 186·2 links; and again by the Pomahaka River Reserve, 2631·8 links; thence towards the north generally by Sections 7 and 6, Block XIV, 4345·4 links; across a road, 137 links; by the said road, 16888·8 links; and by Section 1, Block XV, 1472·6 links; thence towards the north-east by a road, 522·9 links; thence towards the south-east by Section 11, Block XV, 4130·4 links; thence towards the north-east by Section 11, Block XV, and Section 6, Block XVII, 3243·5 links; across a road, 154 links; and again by the said Section 6, 736 links; thence towards the south-east by Run 212a, 10273·7 links; and by a fire-break and road reserve, 205 links; thence towards the east generally by the said fire-break and road reserve, 10863 links, to Section 13, Block XIII aforesaid: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. Save and except from the above all intersecting roads, allowance for which has been made in the area. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. XII/11a, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For forest-plantation purposes.

Regulations for the New Zealand Dental Corps amended.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend, in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto, the regulations for the New Zealand Dental Corps, made on the twenty-fourth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of that date; and I do hereby declare that such amendment shall have effect as from the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

NEW ZEALAND DENTAL CORPS.
Pay.
(1.) PARAGRAPH 704 is hereby amended by deleting the words "one shilling per head," and substituting therefor the words "one shilling and sixpence per head."

Amendments to the Regulations under the Public Service Act, 1912.
IN pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred on him by the Public Service Act, 1912 (hereinafter called "the said Act"), the Commissioner, with the approval of the Governor in Council, doth hereby revoke clauses one hundred and one to one hundred and eight of the regulations made under the said Act on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, as amended by notice published in the Gazette of the eighth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and
