NOTICE is hereby given that this Council did, by resolution passed at a special meeting of the Council held
on the 27th April, 1917, decide to bring into operation Part II
of the Motor Regulation Act, 1908, and that such resolution
shall come into force on the 1st July, 1917.

PATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Patea County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of £370, authorized to be raised by the Patea
County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
for the metalling of Clifford Road, the said Patea County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one half-
penny in the pound on the capital rating value of the Clifford
Road Special-rating District described in the special order
made by the Patea County Council on the 21st day of May,
1917, and confirmed on the 19th day of June, 1917; and
that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of October in every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of 42½ years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.
I certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a
duly convened and constituted meeting of the Patea County
Council held on the 19th day of June, 1917.

PAPATOETOE ROAD BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Papatoetoe Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of £2,500, authorized to be raised by the
Papatoetoe Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of erecting meeting-hall, reading-room, and
Board offices in Station Road, Papatoetoe, the said Papatoetoe Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate
of 1/8th of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value
of all rateable property in the Papatoetoe Road District;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly
on the first day of July and the first day of January in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of 36 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy
of and extract from the minutes of the proceedings of the
Papatoetoe Road Board as passed at a meeting of the said
Board at Papatoetoe on the 14th day of May, 1917.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of shareholders
of the above company will be held at the office of
the Liquidator, A.M.P. Buildings, Dunedin, on Tuesday, the
3rd day of July, 1917, to receive the report of the Liquidator
showing the manner in which the company has been wound
up and the assets disposed of.

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE FOR ELECTRICITY LOAN,
£3,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Whangarei Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000), authorized to be raised by the Whangarei Borough Council, under
the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the
payment of the electrical installation, and to carry out necessary extensions thereto, the said Whangarei Borough Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of two twenty-fifths
of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Whangarei Borough according to the
capital value thereof; and that such special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable half-yearly on the first days of January and
July in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a
resolution duly passed by the Whangarei Borough Council
at a meeting of such Council held on the 18th day of June,
1917.

TUA-TUA-MOANA DRAINAGE BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
THE following resolution was duly passed on the fifth
day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, making a special rate of one penny in the pound on
the rateable values of all lands in Class “A,” seven-eighths
of one penny in the pound on the rateable value of all lands
in Class “B,” and three farthings in the pound on the rateable values of all lands in Class “C,” all of which classes
and the lands therein, together with their rateable values as
appearing on the valuation roll of the district, are set out
in the classification list of the Tua-Tua-Moana Drainage
District (marked “A”):—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Tua-Tua-Moana Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows,—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of £4,000, authorized to be raised by the
Tua-Tua-Moana Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned
Act, for the construction of drainage-works, the said Tua-Tua-Moana Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a
special rate of one penny in the pound on all lands in
Class “A,” seven-eighths of a penny in the pound on all
lands in Class “B,” and three farthings in the pound on all
lands in Class “C,” as appearing on the valuation roll and
set out in the classification list of the Tua-Tua-Moana
Drainage District; and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable annually on the first day of September in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.
I certify the above to be correct.
