THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby authorize the Council of the County of Heathcote to execute the said work; and I do hereby declare that the cost thereof, less the contribution of five hundred pounds (£500) paid to the Heathcote County Council by the Shirley Extension Syndicate, shall be borne in the following proportions, viz.: The Heathcote County Council to bear two-thirds and the Waimairi County Council to bear one-third of such cost respectively.

And I do also further direct that any contribution hereby required to be made as aforesaid by the Waimairi County Council shall be paid from time to time, in the proportion hereinbefore prescribed, out of the funds of the said County Council, within a period of thirty days after demand in writing made by or on behalf of the Heathcote County Council, and that such payment shall be made from time to time to the Clerk of the Heathcote County Council, for and on account of the Waimairi County Council.

SCHEDULE.

THAT bridge over the Avon River at Burwood, Christchurch, connecting Francis Street with a new road passing through R.S. 525. As the site of the said bridge is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42198, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon shown in red colour.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twentieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.
