Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twentieth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, as a sanctuary for native game in Block IV, Matakana Survey District:
And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Animals Protection Act, 1914, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken as a sanctuary for native game; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eleventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 5 acres 0 roods 3 perches.
Being Karewa West (plan 5619, red, Karewa Island), Block IV, Matakana Survey District. (S.O. 19411.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 41716, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured pink.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owners of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and of the Wallace County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Waiau District and Town of Feldwick described in the Schedule hereto.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of June, 1917.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by section twenty-six, subsection one, of the Appropriation Act, 1915, it is provided that, notwithstanding any Act to the contrary, it shall not be lawful or competent for any local authority or for any Harbour Board, during the present war with Germany, to borrow or contract to borrow any money (otherwise than by way of bank overdraft within the limit of its powers, if any, in that behalf) whether from the State Advances Office or from any other source whatever, and whether in pursuance of a special Act or under any other authority whatever, without the precedent consent of the Governor in Council:
