report on the lands described in the Schedule hereunder, and has recommended that the said lands should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers contained in the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereunder shall be scenic reserves under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Reserve 3990, situated in Block II, Akaroa Survey District, and bounded eastward generally by the road forming the western boundary of Lot 6, Kinloch Settlement, 1582·1 links ; southward by the Okute Valley Road, 1164·7 links ; and north-westward by the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Rural Sections 7869, 14827, and 14752, 1980·7 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/208A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.
Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 28 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Reserve 3991, situated in Block II, Akaroa Survey District, and bounded eastward generally by Lot 2, Kinloch Settlement, 2520·7 links ; south-eastward and south-westward by the said Lot 2, 705·2 links and 1268·9 links respectively ; westward by Rural Section 24314, 1560·9 links ; and northward by Lot 2, Kinloch Settlement, 965·6 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/208B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.
Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 46 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Reserve 3992, situated in Block V, Akaroa Survey District, and bounded eastward generally by Lot 18, Kinloch Settlement, 5435·4 links ; south-westward by the said Lot, 1006·8 links ; westward generally by Lot 17, Kinloch Settlement, 4092·5 links ; north-eastward by Lot 18, Kinloch Settlement, 337·6 links ; north-westward and again north-eastward by the said Lot 18, 476·4 and 843·3 links respectively : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/208C, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies ; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Additional Land in Tuhua Survey District taken for the Purposes of the North Island Main Trunk Railway (Okahukura Station), and for a Road Approach thereto.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of the North Island Main Trunk Railway (Okahukura Station), and for a road approach thereto, to take further land in Tuhua Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Crown Land in Block IV, Upper Kaikorai District, set apart for the Purposes of a Street.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is Crown land, and is required to be set apart for the purposes of a street in Block IV, Upper Kaikorai District :
And whereas by section twenty-one of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that whenever any Crown land is required to be set apart for any public work, the Governor may at any time, by Proclamation, set the same apart for such public work without complying with any of the provisions of that Act in respect of the taking or setting-apart of other lands for such purpose :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the purposes of the said street ; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the tenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.
