NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary meeting of the shareholders of the above company duly convened and held in London, England, on the 27th day of August, 1915, a special resolution was passed that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that HERBERT GIMSON, of London, Chartered Accountant, be appointed Liquidator to conduct the winding-up of the company.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and of the ONEWHERO PIONEER DAIRY COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that at a duly convened general meeting of the shareholders of the Onewhero Pioneer Dairy Company (Limited) held on the 29th day of July, 1916, the following resolution was duly passed:—

“That owing to lack of suppliers to the Onewhero Pioneer Dairy Company (Limited) the company be wound up voluntarily, under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908; and that MALCOLM GODFREY MCGREGOR, of Auckland, be appointed Liquidator of the company for the purpose of carrying out such liquidation.”

And at a duly convened meeting of the shareholders of the said company held on the 19th day of August, 1916, the said resolution was duly confirmed.

THE Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States intends to issue, one month after this date, in terms of section 59 of the Life Insurance Act, 1908, a special policy in place of Policy No. 1370535, in name of GEORGE WALTER O’CONNELL, declared to have been lost.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and annual charges on a loan of £3,500, authorized to be raised by the Waitomo County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of widening, culverting, and metalling the Kawa Road from the county boundary near the railway-station to the Waipa Bridge, and also a portion of the Ouru-who Road, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¾d. in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Kawa Special-rating Area, such special-rating area being bounded as follows:—

Commencing at the county boundary near the south-western corner of Section 6, Block IX, Puniu Survey District; thence running in a westerly direction following the southern boundaries of Sections 5, 4, and 3 to the south-eastern corner of Section Kakepuku 9B 6; thence in a north-westerly direction along the western boundary of the said Section Kakepuku 9B 6 and the northern boundary of Kakepuku No. 8 to the Mangawhero Stream, all of Block IX, Puniu Survey District; thence along the said Mangawhero Stream in a north-westerly direction through Sections Kakepuku part No. 9B No. 4, Kakepuku 9B No. 3, Block IX, Puniu, and Block XII, Pirongia Survey District, to the north-eastern boundary of Kakepuku 9B 2D; thence along the said northern boundary in a westerly direction to the Waipa River; thence in a southerly direction along the Waipa River to the south-western corner of Ouruwhero 3F No. 2; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundaries of Section Ouruwhero 3F No. 2, Sections 23 and 13, and Native reserve containing 171 acres 3 roods 27 perches, Ouruwhero 1A, and Ouruwhero No. 1, all of Block XIII, Puniu, and Block XVI, Pirongia Survey District, to the railway-line; thence along the railway-line in a north-easterly direction to the county boundary; thence following the county boundary to the commencing-point.

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
