And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law
to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such
land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been
observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the
purposes of a road; and I do also hereby declare that this
Proclamation shall take effect on and after the ninth day of
September, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken:—
5 acres, portion of Section 194, “Moutere.” Coloured
pink on plan.
3 acres 1 rood 28·5 perches, portion of Section 193,
“Moutere.” Coloured pink on plan.
37·2 perches, portion of Section 193, “Moutere” (wharf
reserve). Coloured blue on plan.
28 perches, portion of harbour foreshore (Nelson Harbour Board endowment). Coloured neutral tint on
plan.

Situated in Block I, Waimea Survey District.

In the Nelson Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 40275
(sheet 3), deposited in the office of the Minister of Public
Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District,
and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day
of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand

Land taken for the Purposes of Waterworks in Blocks XV,
Belmont, and VIII, Rimutaka Survey Districts.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under the Public Works
Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes
of waterworks in Blocks XV, Belmont, and VIII, Rimutaka
Survey Districts:

And whereas the Wellington City Council has laid before
the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map in duplicate, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the
said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said waterworks, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens
of the City of Wellington on and after the date hereinafter
mentioned; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the sixteenth day of
September, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Amending Regulation No. 11 of Prisons Regulations.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon
me by section eight of the Prisons Act, 1908, and section
three of the Prisons Amendment Act, 1912 (hereinafter referred to as the said Acts), and of all other powers enabling
me in that behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby revoke Regulation No. 11 of the regulations made
under the said Acts, mentioned in the First Schedule hereto,
and do hereby make the regulation contained in the Second
Schedule hereto.

REGULATION REVOKED.

REGULATION No. 11 of the Prisons Regulations.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

  1. THE Deputy Inspector shall from time to time, when
    directed so to do, visit the several prisons of the Dominion;
    and shall, when so engaged or employed, carry out such
    duties in regard to the inspection of the prisons and such
    other duties as are assigned to him by the General Orders.

Change of Name of Borough, Campbelltown to Bluff.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Council of the Borough of Campbelltown
has, pursuant to section two of the Designation of
Districts Amendment Act, 1909, passed a resolution that the
name of such borough be changed to “Bluff”:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred on me by the Designation of Districts Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the
borough now known as “Campbelltown” shall be and the
same is hereby altered to “Bluff,” and do assign the last-
