of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owners and mortgagees of the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Mangonui County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Takahue Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto;
and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the road described in the First Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.

ROAD CLOSED.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed : 2 roods 5 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Section 62, Mangatete Parish, and Section 1.
(Coloured on plan : Green.
All situated in Block III, Takahue Survey District (S.O. 18272).
All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 40106, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-first day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Land taken for Tramway Purposes in Block VII, Port Nicholson Survey District, City of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for tramway purposes in Block VII, Port Nicholson Survey District, City of Wellington:
And whereas the Wellington City Council has laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map in duplicate, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, the Tramways Act, 1908, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for tramway purposes, and shall, as from the date hereinafter specified, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the ninth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 12-85 perches. Portion of Lot 9 on D.P. 15, being part of Original Section 286, Town of Wellington, Block VII, Port Nicholson Survey District (City of Wellington).
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 40738,

deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon edged red.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Block XVI, Motueka Survey District.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work-to wit, for the purposes of a road in Block XVI, Motueka Survey District:
And whereas an agreement has been entered into, in terms of section twenty-seven of the said Act, to take such land for the public work hereinafter set forth:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor to issue a Proclamation taking the land, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said road; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the second day of September, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.
