## Extending Prohibition of Private Alienation of certain Native Land.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this sixteenth day of August, 1916.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE W. H. HERRIES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

( )N the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend an Order in Council made the twenty-second day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, for a further period of six months, prohibiting all alienations of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

## Extending Prohibition of Private Alienation of certain Native Land.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this sixteenth day of August, 1916.

( )N the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend an Order in Council made the thirtieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, for a period of six months, prohibiting all alienations of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

## Prohibiting the Exportation of Scrap-iron.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this ninth day of August, 1916.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty-seven of the Customs Act, 1913, as extended by section twenty-four of the Regulation of Trade and Commerce Act, 1914, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time by Order in Council prohibit the exportation of any goods the prohibition of the exportation of which is in his opinion necessary in the public interest:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is necessary in the public interest that the exportation of scrap-iron should be prohibited to the extent and in the manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section forty-seven of the Customs Act, 1913, and section twenty-four of the Regulation of Trade and Commerce Act, 1914, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, doth hereby prohibit the exportation of scrap-iron from the said Dominion, save with the consent of the Minister of Customs.

## Warrant appointing Conciliation Commissioner under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, 1908.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN exercise and pursuance of the power and authority conferred by section twenty-nine of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint WILLIAM HERBERT HAGGER to be a Conciliation Commissioner under and for the purposes of Part III of the said Act, and to exercise jurisdiction within the Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson, and Westland Industrial Districts. Appointment to date from the tenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, at Wellington, this first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

## Amended Regulation under the Mining Act, 1908.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Mining Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby revoke regulation seventy-six of the regulations made under the said Act on the twenty-fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nine, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-eighth day of October then instant, and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the following regulation; and doth hereby declare that the said regulation shall come into force from the date of the gazetting thereof.

REGULATION.

76. If the instrument deposited for registration is a transfer of a mining privilege or of any interest therein, or of any part thereof, then the license or document of title shall be produced to the Registrar, who, when registering such instrument, shall, provided all arrears of rent have been paid, endorse on such license or document a memorial under his hand setting forth the registered number of such instrument, its nature (e.g. "transfer by way of sale," "mortgage," or as the case may be), the office of registration, the names of the parties, and the precise time of registration. In the case of a transfer of any surveyed portion of any surveyed claim the following course shall be pursued: The Registrar shall, as provided in the regulations, register such transfer, and shall cancel the plan on the special-claim license as to the transferred portion of such claim, and shall issue a new license for such transferred
