UAPOTO DRAINAGE BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Uapoto Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
Whereas the Uapoto Drainage Board lately took steps to raise a loan of £1,200 for the purpose of constructing drains in the Uapoto Drainage District: And whereas a loan of £1,190 was raised in respect of the above purpose, as it was found that the special rate struck did not provide security for the full amount of the loan: And whereas the said amount of £1,190 has been fully expended, but has been found insufficient for the purposes of the loan: And whereas section 18 of the above-named Act empowers the said Uapoto Drainage Board to raise a supplementary ten-per-cent. loan to complete the work:
Now, therefore, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £115 (being portion of ten per cent. of the above-stated loan of £1,190), authorized to be raised by the said Uapoto Drainage Board for the purpose of completing the construction of drains in the Uapoto Drainage District, the said Uapoto Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Uapoto Drainage District, comprising the whole of the Uapoto Drainage District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the above is a correct copy of a resolution made by the Uapoto Drainage Board on Monday, the 24th July, 1916.
WILLIAM HENRY,
Chairman, Uapoto Drainage Board.
